Daniel Norris might've pitched himself out of the rotation today.

I think he may have already been the odd man out, but, I don't know, I guess a stellar outing today could've maybe saved him from a bullpen assignment? I'm not really sure how arbitrary these managerial decisions are, but that seems like something a manager would do.

I think (hope) it's Spencer Turnbull's time to shine. He might be their best healthy starter lol.

I’m rapidly developing a level of hate for Spencer Trumbull that has previously been reserved only for Garrett Cooper and Mackenzie Gore.

Well, it was apparently between the 2, so I believe he'll be the swingman now.

Why? I've barely mentioned him.

What's the appeal with Hudson? Seems like he kind of stinks to me.

He had one good year in 2011, maybe he can turn it around this year? But hes just a veteran presents replacement for Axford, but f*** me I'm a few months older then him.

trolololol

He's really just a warm body who has had a couple of seasons with an above average K rate along with a mediocre walk rate, decent velocity. Best case scenario he's around 2015 level and gets flipped for a Jacob Waguespack level prospect or IFA pool money. We basically just had a scare with a bunch of pitchers going down so rather than waste an option on a guy we like just throw Hudson in the 'pen to cover some innings.

This.

He's basically John Axford without the GB%.

I couldn't find the old ticket thread, but I cant make a game I've got tickets to on Saturday afternoon April the 14th vs the Rays. 2 Tickets are in section 221 right beside the comfort clubhouse. Asking $100 for the pair (less than face value), just send me a DM if you're interested

Reid-Foley didn't travel with the Blue Jays to Montreal in advance of Monday's exhibition game against the Brewers and is expected to be demoted to Triple-A Buffalo prior to Opening Day, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

ANALYSIS

Reid-Foley has been competing with Thomas Pannone, Sam Gaviglio and Trent Thornton for the final opening in the Jays' rotation that was created by Ryan Borucki's elbow injury. The young righty had already endured a rough spring heading into his final outing Sunday against the Tigers and saw his fortunes take another hit when he allowed five runs on four hits and three walks in two innings. He'll likely need to demonstrate improved command and control over a multi-start stretch in Buffalo before garnering a look from the Blue Jays.

Gaviglio on the bump...

1. Brandon Drury ® 3B

2. Billy McKinney (L) RF

3. Teoscar Hernandez ® LF

4. Justin Smoak (S) 1B

5. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. ® 2B

6. Kendrys Morales (S) DH

7. Kevin Pillar ® CF

8. Danny Jansen ® C

9. Freddy Galvis (S) SS

I don't see anything wrong with that line-up?

A big couple days for those guys vying for jobs in the rotation and pen.

For those of us not paying enough attention... Or just for the sake of debate...

What's the likely 25 man roster for opening day?

Can someone please explain why DJ is 8th in the lineup behind guys who are a lock to have obp of 300 or below like Pillar, Gurribabip, and The Mirage.
