Have been saying since May, Jays offer JD the QO, he accepts and plays next year to rebuild his value..

We get a do over, if he doesn't accept, we get a comp pick... He would probably be smart to accept at I think $16 million or so..

That's what I think may happen...but the QO was $17.5M last year, no? I guess at that point what's a few million.

Maybin to Seattle. Grandy to the Yankees is probably a formality now. History with the team/GM plus a great clubhouse guy and still productive.

Trade them Granderson, reliever, and cash for #22 prospect Erik Swanson. Get it done Shatkins!

@Buster_ESPN

The Blue Jays continue to try to check on interest in their veteran relievers, including John Axford, Tyler Clippard.

Funny ass wording.

"continue to try to check on interest in their [own] veteran relievers"

in other words, there is no interest in them (unsurprising).

This trade deadline is insane. Pirates about to get Archer, Dozier about to go to the Dodgers.

The MLB trade deadline is underrated among sports, but maybe that's just because a lot of people don't care about baseball. It's consistently one of the most exciting and shocking days of the year.

Rays have added their starting corner outfielders for the next few years today. Their team will be completely unrecognizable.

they have 10M in salary commitments for next year. (8 to KK and 2 they still owe Longoria). Everyone else is arb or pre arb

Hmm....maybe it is going to be boring after all lol

It's only "boring" if you only follow the Jays. And we already traded Happ, Osuna, Oh before today. There's really nothing else anyone should reasonably expect besides guys like Granderson and Solarte.

Surprised Granderson hasn’t gone yet. Bidding war or lack of interest?

Supposed to be either Phillies or Yanks, still time, trades leak through after the deadline.

League wide it is probably one of the most active in years. Just figured we would have done a lot more. We did a few before today but I think we should have made 3-4 more trades at least given our roster imo

In the States it is really big. The NFL is boring, the NBA is kind of picking up but not much and the NHL seems crazy but no one down here cares much.
