Shart Verified Member Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 The key question tonight is whether JD's arm is back. There will be a microscope on every throw he makes from third to first.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Can't wait to watch Pillar run past Morales on a Diaz double tonight. We'll likely be up 5+ runs at that point so it'll be a good laugh for the team.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Rumor has it the crowd will be better looking than usual tonight
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Travis getting benched makes sense given how well Solarte has been playing, Devo will be good to use late in the game anyway. Also it's time to see if JD's arm resurrected over the Easter weekend, lots of cortisone blessings.
Shart Verified Member Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 The plan for Travis this season is 2 games on, one game off. He's not getting "benched", but will see regular games off all season in order to try and keep him healthy.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 The thread title is pushing it...but I believe in the power of J4L Toronto -2.5 Alternate Runline Chicago (A) at Toronto 2.50 Clear All SINGLE BET Price:2.50 Bet Amount:$100 Bet Payout:$250.00

Gibby's already stated that Travis' and Martin's day off's are true day's off... only in emergency would they be used.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Pre game tosses for JD I judge those throws to be significantly weaker than what we should expect from Donaldson, he still looks timid and is compensating with a higher trajectory. Stay woke.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 I judge those throws to be significantly weaker than what we should expect from Donaldson, he still looks timid and is compensating with a higher trajectory. Stay woke. Agreed. They look better than we saw a couple of days ago but still doesn't look great. The ChiSox suck so we will beat them with a one armed thirdbaseman anyway but I hope his arm gets fixed soon.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Travis and Martin are both on '2 days on, 1 day off'. That's fine for Travis since he's injury prone and Solarte is a decent MLB player, but not sure I like that many AB's for Maile.

I guess they figure if Martin gets hurt again then it will be a lot more PT for Maile.

Stay woke. I guess Gibby figures whatever defensive value they lose by having him play 3B is offset by the offensive value of having Morales in the lineup over Ngoepe.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2018 Author Posted April 3, 2018 1 more hour till game time!
bzapple Verified Member Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Rumor has it the crowd will be better looking than usual tonight Ah, so I guess no one from this board is attending tonight.

Omar Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Can't wait to watch Pillar run past Morales on a Diaz double tonight. We'll likely be up 5+ runs at that point so it'll be a good laugh for the team. You're assuming Morales actually gets on base tonight.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 I'm not a fan of sitting your best players unless it's been several games. IMO you should always field your best out there. If they are that fragile then find someone else.

Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 I have no problem with this lineup tonight.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Lol Solarte's pre game "stretch" is just more dancing

Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 I usually only make the trip on weekends but I don't think I've ever seen a smaller crowd here
Willy25 Verified Member Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 I have no problem with this lineup tonight. Interesting to see Morales hitting 6th, behind solarte and grichuk. That could be to prevent the basepath clog or it could be a message to get his act together and start making better contact.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 That wasn't a convincing throw by Josh.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Yeah he's definitely not 100% but it's better than Opening Day. Hopefully it's not structural damage because otherwise it's completely idiotic to have him out there.
