Quite possibly, he's got an x370 wOBA, with plus fielding and running. Hits the ball reasonably hard, and walks at a decent clip.

Probably not on this level, but he appears to be a plus runner and defender with some decent pop and can be around 100-110 wRC+ which makes him a very interesting guy.

The media’s/MLB’s treatment of Mike Trout pretty much since the start of his career has been shameful. They have maybe the best baseball player to ever live, and consistently try to talk themselves into not giving him the attention he deserves.

 

If he played for the Yankees he would be revered as though he were Joe Dimagio

Barring injury, Trout probanly has multiple 6-10 WAR seasons left in him

To be fair - Dimaggio gave up 3 full seasons is his prime to enlist in the US Army. I love his BB/K ratios. 12.2 BB%, 2.1 K% in 1941. He was one of the best.

Same - and actually they say the Coliseum is one of the loudest stadiums in baseball when it's full. Between the noise and the backed up shittiers - that would be a hectic environment for the Yankees to walk into.

Amazing that the A's are a 90+ win team three years after trading Donaldson in a horrendous trade for them, and none of the players they received in that trade are contributing for them at all.

 

Gives me hope that the Jays are not that far off, especially since they'll be adding a generational player next May.

The Jays don't have to be bad in 2019. They need to cut the fat from the 25-man (Travis and Solarte for starters) and make the 40-man as robust as possible to ensure almost no PT is being given to replacement or sub-replacement level players. The Rays are going to win 90 games with Joey Wendle and Mallex Smith as their best position players and Blake Snell their only above-average pitcher. And that's supported by their pythag and base runs records.

I don't think you need to DFA him you may get something for him ( nothing of any substance) from a team looking at him as a reclamation project.
