Alonso has been pretty good considering what he was brought in for, the real let down has been Edwin, who is now basically an average hitter. I think they would be interested in Smoak, who is crushing it and a switch hitter.

Alonso - 106 wRC+

Edwin - 105 wRC+

yur dum :)

I wonder if Happ liked Seattle in 2015. He might be heading back there soon. Sucks for Paxton though if it's serious.

Nah, not serious, Lower Back Stiffness.

Jon Gray will be recalled to start for the Rockies on Saturday versus the Mariners at Coors Field.

Advice: Gray had one good start and one bad one for Albuquerque after he was surprisingly optioned late last month. The right-hander has posted a disappointing 5.77 ERA this season, although his FIP is 3.11 and he's struck out 119 over 92 innings. The upside with Gray remains, but it's still hard to have much trust in him in fantasy leagues until he strings together a few good outings. Manager Bud Black indicated Friday that Gray would not be guaranteed anything beyond Saturday's start.

No problems with running an absolute dumpster fire like Hoffman out there, though.

How have the Rockies themselves not figured out that Coors makes pitchers appear worse than they really are? They've had like 30 years almost.

Stroman for Gray. He can take HDMH and elevate it even further!

Kidding, although I would absolutely love for us to find a way to get him.

Jon Gray has been called back up to start today against Seattle, although it may be more due to injuries than whatever f***ing plan they think they had for him.

The quirky ballpark should be a blessing. You get to tailor your team to it for 81 games a season and the other teams don't. Instead they use it as an excuse for everything.

It all starts with ownership who I actually know quite well. The Monforts just don't really give a s***. They let Dan O'Dowd run the team for 15 years and when fans finally had enough of him he merely stepped down so his #2 could take over. They have a nice ballpark in downtown Denver so people still come to the games.

I would love to see a sabremetric Front Office have a crack at running the team but it will never happen.

Coors Field was one of my favourite ballparks that I've visited so far. It has really aged well considering it was built in the mid-1990's and that it's the third oldest ballpark in the NL. They made some nice renovations for this year as well with the upper deck. Again, by far one of my favourite ballparks!

Term lives near it.

Thor with a runner on second, none out.

He clearly balks but the ump washes it out and points at the batter, who apparently called for time. The ump sure didn’t signal time out.

What I liked was the Ron and Keith and Gary all stated the ump was dead wrong to do this, although it helped the Mets huge. It was a balk.

I don’t recall Pat and Buck saying the Jays were helped out for any of 1,000s of horrible calls that went the Jays way.
