I would be interested to see if Ohtani actually gets to play some RF this year. If the Angels are competing and hes hitting well you have to believe he will be in the lineup everyday hes not pitching.

 

Considering he's already on an innings limit I really doubt the Angels want him to be using his arm any more than he needs to. Also Calhoun plays very good defense and is at least average overall, there's really no need for them to sit him over Ohtani as it stands.

Is Joe Mauer a HOF player?

 

42.9 WAR as a catcher before he moved to 1st (5.9 WAR since). MVP + lots of gold gloves. Likely finishes with a career WAR in the low to mid 50's.

 

Thoughts?

Yeah he's finally gotten away from pitching to contact like they kept telling him to do in Pittsburgh.

 

Also a Cole owner, and also very relieved so far this year. A 1-2 of Thor and Cole has been money so far.

Nothing can stop this Red Sox team--not even a minor injury to Mookie Betts. 9-2 Boston..
To be fair, 11 of their 14 games have come against the Rays, Marlins, and O's.
