Judge has put up a 75 wRC+ since the ASG. A lot of pitchers have made him their bitch since then.

 

His walk rate since has still been stellar though.

Hard to believe a playoff team wouldn't see that Marco is healthy and give up prospect worth having to get him for a playoff start. Colorado for example. I'd trust Estrada for a start in Dodger Stadium more than any of their guys except Gray.

I don't see why he would. He'd be a fairly cheap ($3-4mm?) gamble for six weeks. If he has cleared, then yeah, the Jays should hold out for actual value now.

Even if he's claimed, I think we should hold out for actual value. His value to us the remainder of the season (viewership, plus the unlikely chance of actually still making a run) is probably worth more than his remaining salary is.

I have said before I think Estrada will be back next season. Shapiro wants nothing to do with the free agent market and Estrada is practically endorsing that he wants to come back. Unless they get an actual good package for him, I think he will stay regardless of how the team is doing. He's not going to be Jay Bruce'd.
