Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Looks like Marco is heading back out for the 8th With 110 pitches?
MunenoriKawasakiMVP Verified Member Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Is Bautista good again?
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Never gets old seeing Bautista hitting a bomb.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 With 110 pitches? I didn't take note of his pitch count but when they showed him and Gibby it didn't appear like he was done for the night, could be wrong
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 After trading him for a couple solid prospects? If they think they can get that kind of return for sure. They didn't before July 31st but if he keeps pitching like this through august it may happen. Have my doubts. If they can't I'd like to see him extended BTW big shot Jose. Big run.
MunenoriKawasakiMVP Verified Member Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 lol Judge is Tepera's bitch
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 lol Judge is Tepera's bitch Judge has put up a 75 wRC+ since the ASG. A lot of pitchers have made him their bitch since then. His walk rate since has still been stellar though.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Marco getting some calls on the black. Nice set up on Judge. Hope he is back. Would love to extend him on a cheaper deal. Just came on here to post this. Would love to see Estrada back next year
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 lol Judge is Tepera's bitch As much as I've cursed him over the last couple years he has been a solid find for our pen. He, Barnes, Leone and Biagini are some cheap gems this organization has developed.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Does Osuna really have to start the inning with a four run lead? f***ing seriously Gibby?

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Throw the the f***ing fastball !!
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Poor Headley. He never stood a chance.
Governator Community Moderator Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Nice pitch, K the side please
Governator Community Moderator Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Man Osuna was topping out at like 98-99 last year. What a drop off, overused?
Governator Community Moderator Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 There we go. Good game all around. Wtg Estrada, Bautista, Osuna Matata. http://i.imgur.com/YW5cUOU.gif
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Made 'em look silly. Nicely pitched game.
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted August 11, 2017 Author Posted August 11, 2017 Fun game to watch on both sides of the ball. Some big hits and nice defensive plays but most of all some really nice pitching. Good game!
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Hard to believe a playoff team wouldn't see that Marco is healthy and give up prospect worth having to get him for a playoff start. Colorado for example. I'd trust Estrada for a start in Dodger Stadium more than any of their guys except Gray.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Has Estrada cleared waivers? I haven't been paying attention to that this year I don't see why he would. He'd be a fairly cheap ($3-4mm?) gamble for six weeks. If he has cleared, then yeah, the Jays should hold out for actual value now.

If he has cleared, then yeah, the Jays should hold out for actual value now. Even if he's claimed, I think we should hold out for actual value. His value to us the remainder of the season (viewership, plus the unlikely chance of actually still making a run) is probably worth more than his remaining salary is.

I have said before I think Estrada will be back next season. Shapiro wants nothing to do with the free agent market and Estrada is practically endorsing that he wants to come back. Unless they get an actual good package for him, I think he will stay regardless of how the team is doing. He's not going to be Jay Bruce'd.
