Governator Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 I don't mind resting all your guys when a s*** pitcher is on the hill. Especially with the Yankees on tap next for 4 games. Agreed. I mean, you're going to need some luck that you get a decent outing from your scrub anyway and you got a stacked bench if the game happens to be close.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 I have been saying this since Travis came up to the show, he could be the Jays second baseman for years to come.

Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 That slider is a joke. Buck said Votto was all over it. To me it looked like he had to lunge out of his boots just to get a protection swing on it.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Votto's plate discipline is legendary
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Not too many pitchers can make Joey Votto look like that.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 31, 2017 Author Posted May 31, 2017 He better be He's all we have left from Doc At least that turned into something!
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 That slider is video game hilarious.
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Pfft, why the hell didn't Smith get a slo-motion walk off the field?
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 The pen has looked really really good. Grilli coming around only helps further strengthen it. I think Howell is the only "hang on to your seat" guy we have in the pen right now.
JonMc Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 And don't you just love the shut down inning afterwards.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Didn't know Phil Kessel was pitching today.
nextyear Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 The Blue Jays continue to be competitive even with their scrubs, Coghlan, Goins, Maile, Carrera and Bolsinger.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 didn't know phil kessel was pitching today. spot on
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Pretty crazy to be pitching to your Little League /High school battery mate all these years later in the bigs.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Votto... he's something else. Osuna Matata time!
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 That ball was crushed. All good, that's why we had a 2-run lead!
