Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 I'm not at all convinced that Coghlan brings a better bat to the table than Carrera, not to mention Zeke's better defense and speed. He might not be but Cohglan is a 0-2 WAR player IMO. He's look great at times over the past few years but had a rough stint with Oakland. Seems like a lot of variance. Zeke is a .5-1.0 WAR player. I'd like to roll the dice at this point.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 hahahaha made me eat my words
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Zeke is such a lucky hitter Not really, only a .321 career BABIP.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 you motherf***ers made me ban the Dogg...I expect you to point it out when he returns. I'm not going to keep finding him myself. The Dogg never dies.

Well if we're going by career numbers then it's not really close. He's arguably just as valuable of a baserunner, and neither is a good defender.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 lmao same pitch Liriano stopped getting. f***ing ump needs Lasik
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Does this ump's wife know that he's f***ing us tonight?

Make the trade for Leonys.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Poor guy indeed, I thought he had a shot at a spot before ST started, and he shined up until his injury. He got concussed and I thought he'd be shipped for AAA for a week or something... Then he winds up on the 60 day DL. This was supposed to be his year, wonder if the ship has sailed or not If he puts up good numbers in AAA this year (assuming he comes back early enough) and gets some playing time in September and plays well, he may get one more kick at the can next spring.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Atleast Angels fans aren't chanting USA. But I guess half of them are Mexican

He's arguably just as valuable of a baserunner, and neither is a good defender. That is very true. If anything he deserves to be a utility man off the bench for a month or two to give him a fighting chance. I can see him slotting in LF and shouldn't be worse than Carerra out there

I'm a little concerned that Coghlan is toast though and Carrera is a pretty stable player that is already at 0.3 WAR, probably 0.4 now.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 It sucks that Bautista knew he had to swing at that pitch because he was about to get rung up. Not many people know the strike zone as well as he does.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Holy f*** Jose, that was a meatball.

fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Bautista should be on first f*** off
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Well if we're going by career numbers then it's not really close. He's arguably just as valuable of a baserunner, and neither is a good defender. I'm just not convinced that Coghlan is still the player that his career numbers would suggest. It's possible, but we'll never really know unless he gets another starting gig.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Roast this new pitcher, let's go.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 This is not the ump you want to have with David Hernandez coming out.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Kendrys double incoming. more like homer
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Please take him yard Kendrys.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 This is a questionable move by Sciosca.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 How are you late on a 2-0 fastball?

It's possible, but we'll never really know unless he gets another starting gig. This is certainly valid. I'd at least stick it out with him for a bit until he definitely proves that he's finished.
