BOLD prediction: Olerud363 literally dies this year and nobody on the board notices.

That's a little much. I get you don't like the guy, but that's fairly heartless.

Oh man, witnessing someone playing internet psychologist is the most cringe-inducing thing on the planet.

Psychology is mostly fake news. I'm not sure what my statement has to do with psychology.

90% of everything is fake news. NJH has demonstrated he understand this. So I suspect most of his gig is an act.

Not really bold. Kind of mean.

Still trying to figure if you are really are a smart guy or not. I mean you understand how dumb Grant is, so that is very good. You seem to have a basic understanding of the reproducibility crisis. Good as well.

A little too much overconfidence. This is where it gets tricky.

a) Like many smart guys (Nox for example) you may understand that you are not really that smart (no one is), however by acting cocky you can play the system (co-orporate promotions and such)

or

B) you really think you are that smart, in which case you aren't.

I'm the good type of humble-confident smart guy, obviously.

I shouldn't have joked about you dying. Poor taste. I can admit when I was wrong / not funny.

I still think it was kind of funny tbh but, y'know. Apparently not.

I find it a bit creepy when people joke about other people dying.

These threads are a lot better when people stick to things that have at least some chance of happening.

Here are my actual bold predictions.

Bold is defined as - something that most people will view as highly improbably, but I think has an actual chance of happening.

1. Francisco Liriano is the Blue Jays best starter by virtually all measurements.

- This probably has a far higher chance of happening than most people realize. The talent gap between all Blue Jays starting pitchers is very narrow. You can basically throw one thin ERA projection around the best four names, and Happ isn't miles behind them.

2. The veteran setup men flounder but Danny Barnes and Chris Smith save the bullpen.

3. The Blue Jays rely on a Pearce-Pompey-Gurriel outfield for an extended period of time.

4. Dalton Pompey leads all Blue Jays OF in fWAR in 2017

Glenn Sparkman breaks his thumb, thus allowing him to head to the DL and back the decision time on him to after a minor league stint. Bold!

would have been only okay to joke about if you threw in something like "died with Cito Gaston at his side after Cito apologized for everything he's done to O363 over the years".

Mike Trout suspended for PEDs

Ooh that's a good one.

Sniff... I knew the two of you could get along.

Vlad Gurrero Jr shoots thru our minor system, reaches AA at 18, and becomes overall #1 prospect.

That's my dream/prediction.

Getting to AA isn't bold, #1 prospect might be the boldest prediction in this thread and that's saying something

All AL teams why not.

Red Sox - become the first team in 10 years to crack the 950 runs scored mark, but it doesn't translate to a big win total, starting Farrell gets fired rumours.

Rays - Did this one already, they lead the AL East on September 1st...but don't make the playoffs.

Yankees - Trade 2 of their three starting OF's at the deadline.

Orioles - Trade Machado to the Mets and appear to have the best rotation in the AL East

Indians - Sit sub-.500 prior to the trade deadline.

White Sox - 2 of the top prospects they traded for are lost for the season by April 30th

Tigers - Surprise 95 win team. Miggy comes up just short of the Triple Crown, when he loses the batting average crown to Kevin Pillar

Twins - Lock up Brian Dozier for 9 years.

Royals - Despite being just 2 games out of the wildcard at the All Star break, the Royals are the biggest sellers at the deadline, moving Cain, Hosmer, Soria, & Escobar. They try to lock up Moose but he refuses.

Angels - Trout plays without a major injury and doesn't come top 5 in fWAR

Mariners - Scott Servais is the first manager fired, still gets hired by the Brewers before the seasons end

Astros - First team to have six 5 win players (I actually assume that's a first, never looked it up)

Rangers - The two Profars have a fist fight during a game.

Athletics - Billy Beane leaves the team at the end of the season
