P2F Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 That was a hell of a blister.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 That was a hell of a blister. No kidding. I thought Al Leiter had blister problems...
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 BTS, Orgfiller, Sorrow, L54 all on record as willing to move Vlad for Cutch last offseason. smh. Dammit Jim, If Guerrero flames out like Travis Snider, I swear the mods of this board need to change your avatar to a picture of a clown and script circus music to play every time a person scrolls over your posts. What has Guerrero done at the MLB level? Absolutely nothing. Yet you prattle on as if you just won the lottery. Way to f*** up this guy's chances by running up a lot of bad karma. How often do scientists brag about how much they are right? Not often, because they have a lot of knowledge but also realize that they need to spend their time learning a lot more. The only time they "brag" is when they want to influence public policy and society for the better. To use a sports analogy, someone who is a sharp handicapper won't go babbling about it to everyone lest his system gets exposed and his window to profit off of the bookies closes. A fool on the other hand, would take every opportunity to brag about being right. Because the fool is rarely right and the time that he is right is a cause for celebration. Now Jim, which one of these categories does it sound like you fall under over the last couple of pages and every other time you bring crap like this up?
Sorrow Verified Member Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 I honestly don't recall saying I'd move Vlad for Cutch last off season. I think I was opposed to it but I honestly don't even know where I'd look to find what the hell I wrote.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Apparently Sanchez has a finger ligament strain... Mildly makes him sound like less of a pussy than being out for the rest of the season with a blister...
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 That was a hell of a blister. I just hope him giving it rest for so long helps. If he starts in spring training and it comes back what on earth is he going to do? Whether Sanchez is fit or not for a 200 inning season makes a massive difference to the rotation for next year.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Apparently Sanchez has a finger ligament strain... Mildly makes him sound like less of a pussy than being out for the rest of the season with a blister... Hate it when people say s*** like this. (I am especially triggered by the homophobic, misogynist, transphobic and racist remark of John Havoc saying Sanchez has lady fingers). Yeah ok if he was a hockey player or a football player he'd be out there. Hell, even us normal folk could easily live through this type of injury in our day-to-day lives. Sanchez has a specialist role as a baseball pitcher where the fingers must be in top shape. Same with piano players or doctors performing complex surgery. He can't do his job well with blisters. Would you rather have him out there, pitching with non-optimal grips that result in poor control and meatballs? Might as well just send a healthy Rowley out there in that case.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 As long as Teo and Urena play everyday in September it's worth watching. No reason why a veteran should be getting playing time over them.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 As long as Teo and Urena play everyday in September it's worth watching. John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Both could start the season with the team next year the way they are playing Urena will start him in AAA and he will take over for either Travis or Tulo when they inevitably get hurt. He won't be a starter if both are healthy unless Shatkins can work a miracle and trade Tulo, or they decide to move on and trade Travis. I think the chances of either of those trades is pretty low though.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Both could start the season with the team next year the way they are playing wasn't urena s*** in the minors...
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Both could start the season with the team next year the way they are playing Teoscar, yes. Urena, no.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 wasn't urena s*** in the minors... Just this season he was ok in AA not good though. I think he was pretty stellar previous season. Some players get better though in the majors when pitchers have more control. Looked good so far though (really small sample)
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Teoscar, yes. Urena, no. I'm really hoping we have Alford and Hernandez in the outfield most of next season (if not the entire season). It's time to get rid of Pillar too as the defense is already on the decline by most metrics and he provides negative value offensively.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 You shouldn't go into the season with any of the young guys penciled in as starters. Have them in AAA as depth. Its been barely a week and a half for them in the Majors, don't forget Urena was crap all year.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 I think having Teoscar starting in RF would be fine. He should provide solid defense and baserunning and he's got 20 homers across all his levels this year. I think he's probably good enough. He can also serve as the backup CF which would allow the team to carry Zeke as the 4th OF. Alford and Urena should be in AAA though to start.
