Ehjays Verified Member Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Getting pretty tired of Travis tbh. He's a good player but no way does he ever get through a season without significant DL time. He doesn't even deserve the lead off role either. He only has it because he's not a premier slugger and has respectable OBP skills. He looks better hitting 6 or 7 in this lineup, IMO. Hes a lot better in lead off than Pillar.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Boras is annoying. Now that he got Kris Bryant the record he expects that to be the new standard for all his clients.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Boras bashing the Jays? Was anyone not expecting this to happen. The Jays are a painfully conservative team with respect to the financial side. There was no chance that Boras wasn't going to speak up.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 It begins... lol... this f***ing guy.
vdartanian Verified Member Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Welcome to the MLB Boras, guy was offered a modest raise and chose not to accept it.....because you know "principals". I don't like the way young players are compensated, but I'm sure the Jays would happily have given Sanchez 20-30 mil if he wanted to sign a 5 year extension right now which would have set him up for life, If he blows his arm out this year that's on you you greedy f***s...have never seen a Minor league flame out return a signing bonus yet.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Love Scott Boras. Everyone assumes that only time to negotiate is during contract times...but he knows how to use the media to constantly be negotiating. This is all setting up his next move a la Gerrit Cole...extension or trade (which after his feud with Stroman might be Sanchez's end goal!
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 A familiar friend? Lol that guy is f***ing crazy. There is also a robthedog account that frequents that sub, and we all know who that is...

GreekFatAss Verified Member Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 I'm sure Boras feels bad when a client underperforms a big contract.

It's pretty shocking that more pitchers don't jump at the chance to sign extensions, something similar to what Archer signed 3 years ago for 25M guaranteed over 6 years. They all think their invincible despite watching their peers go down in flames every year
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 his feud with Stroman Do you know something about it that we don't?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 If no-one has seen JD break his swing down, it's about to play on MLBN. Must watch if you've missed it.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Boras doing his job and media playing his hand. Puppet master and puppet I'd feel slimy and scummy if I had to play games like this all the time. Manipulating perceptions and people is a dirty business.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Do you know something about it that we don't? That was just sarcasm. But I do actually think they just don't like each other now.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Stroman has the napolean complex and just can't fathom that Sanchez is better than him at all things.
