burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Well that pretty much takes the Mets out of the running if JD were to be traded. Outside the Red Sox there just really aren't any contenders who don't have a 3rd baseman locked up. Maybe the Astros if Bregman continues to suck.

Red Sox have Sandoval under contract for a while yet and don't want to block Rafael Devers, who may reach the majors this summer based on the way Dombrowski rushed Moncada. So they're out on JD as well. Plus, cut Bregman some slack.. he's 23 and still has some developing to do power-wise.. but he's doing a good enough job getting on base to keep him in the lineup.

Donaldson will most likely not be traded during the season anyways. They will probably trade off other pieces and see where we stand in the offseason.

Bogaerts will have to move to third in the near future as well. His range at shortsop is very poor and will only get worse.
mphenhef Verified Member Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 I would think there is a good chance a Devers type would be coming back in a hypothetical JD trade anyway.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 The Nationals have more runs scored in the last 6 games(73) than the Royals have the entire season so far(63).

Laika Community Moderator Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 or #blossomlikebryant Yeahhhhh maybe, but Bryant's ISO was nearly twice that of Moncada, and his BB rate was almost 50% better (in AAA). And Bryant nuked AA while Moncada just did well. We'll see, as always.

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 It'll be interesting to see the reaction to Jones tonight. Will he get a smattering of boos for bringing negative attention to the Red Sox? Will fans hurl racial slurs at him again to rile him up?

The latter would be more consistent with the red sox m.o. going back more than a century. Tom Yawkey must be pleased. His presence in the Hall of Fame is a disgrace.

Espicially after Betts tweeting asking Boston to do so. And rightfully so.

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 so Sale throws behind Machado and the Orioles respond by throwing at Benintendi's head. As much as I hate to say it, I want the Red Sox to eat s*** and I'm loving the Orioles right now

As much as I hate to say it, I want the Red Sox to eat s*** and I'm loving the Orioles right now Why? It's stupid. It should have been over long ago. Your throwing a 95 mph ball at someones head, the guy could f***in die why would yoj want that on your chest..

You probably don't think it's a big deal because I'm pretty sure at this point that you've gotten hit in the head in the past and you're still here and posting retarded s*** so it can't be that bad.
