Just heard during a commercial on TSN radio that they'd be talking about it on the news tonight. Said that Howarth wasn't going to come out with it but thought it might motivate more men to get tested for prostate cancer.

 

Hope they caught it early.

I don't know, I kind of associate cancer as awful news no matter how early.

Always see Jerry at the coffee shop near me. Great guy personally. He's a class act. I'm glad they caught it early and hope for a speedy recovery!

Type and stage of cancer are important. Can range from minor nuisance (e.g. well-differentiated, early stage thyroid cancer) to almost universal death sentence (e.g. pancreatic adenocarcinoma).

He's very very good IMO. What don't you like about him?

 

This isn't really the time I would like to be critical of someone. His stories are boring and often similar. "If its good enough for him its good enough for me."

Like many, I remember riding in the car with my dad as a kid listening to Jerry call games, so there's a ton of nostalgia every time you listen to him. Irreplaceable. Hope he battles through it

Usually problems urinating, and that's kind of a wrong way to put it but yes a rectal exam they check for anything abnormal. Then a blood test as well.

 

I'm 33 and have had it done. Usually start doing it at 40 I think as a normal health check up.
