Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Not to imply that he's bad, but it feels like the Phils would be selling high on him and the price wouldn't be cheap. Furthermore, why are they trying to move a player that is 25, still under team control for a few more years and has been worth roughly 4 wins for each of the past two seasons? Speculation from a nobody... I don't believe it at all. Could Phillies Be Willing To Discuss Odubel Herrera? By Mark Polishuk | December 5, 2016 at 9:51pm CDT There is some speculation that the Phillies would be open to trading Odubel Herrera, MLB.com’s T.R. Sullivan tweets. It would surely take quite a bit to make a deal happen, as Herrera has gone from Rule 5 pick to an everyday contributor for Philadelphia who has hit .291/.353/.419 and 23 homers over his two big league seasons.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 developments on Fowler That sounds good for us.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 I want both Cutch and Fowler
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 I want both Cutch and Fowler I wonder how the Jays make up the value to compete with Robles + Giolito, even as a guess. I think the Nats are about to be all in on Cutch.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 That sounds good for us. Like a faint hope clause! A ray of sunshine! That good?
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 I want both Cutch and Fowler This ain't Burger King, you can't always have it your way! Lol

I think the Nats are about to be all in on Cutch. Well to be fair, I don't think there's any chance Robles and Giolito are both on the table for Cutch. Maybe one or the other, maybe neither. That looks to be around the most they were offering for Sale; Cutch shouldn't cost anywhere near as much.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Cardinals made the same contract offer http://www.espn.com/espn/now?nowId=21-0597878685755775775-4

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Let's up it to 4 for 70. That would be my final offer to Fowler. 4/70 is already high, we shouldn't go higher than that IMO.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 If the offers are close, he'll likely choose the Cards.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 If the offers are close, he'll likely choose the Cards. Fowler's probably like - the Red Sox got Sale? F this, St. Louis it is.

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 eh St.Louis is a pretty s*** town Yeah it's a dump but the Cardinals are one of the better organizations to play for it seems.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Fowler's probably like - the Red Sox got Sale? F this, St. Louis it is. Does he forget the Cubs are in the same division? I'd much rather play for Toronto.

PhillyBlueJay Verified Member Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 I think the time is right for Bautista! Offer 2 year contract at 35 million or equal to 2 years at current qualifying offer amount. Provide Bautista option to become free agent after first year so he can opt out but if he does not the Jays get an option 3rd year equal to qualifying offer or 1 million buyout clause. To guaranteed value to Bautista is 36 million equal to 18 million a year for 2 years.
