Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Zero mistakes by Cleveland. Can you imagine if Salazar, Carrasco and Brantley were in the lineup? f***ing Miller is money... I hate to say it but I don't dislike anyone on their team. Yeah it's not a bad bunch of guys at all. Miller is out their dominating us and all he does is heap praise on his C. Nothing to be mad about in regards to them, they are just thumping us.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 I wish we signed Miller

Bauer's a meathead, but the rest of them are fine.
Stevecool Verified Member Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 That Texas series was such an emotional series it's almost jays were let down playing Cleveland . Cleveland had no real evil guy like odor to get motivated buy. Even the pinko liberal Toronto media trying to create controversy over the Indian name failed to motivate them
Stevecool Verified Member Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Bauer's a meathead, but the rest of them are fine. That was the issue Cleveland needed an odor type player to motivate them.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Blue jays refusing to talk to the media (in a playoff game for one) is a first. Who do they think they are?
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 If you guys want to brag to your friends that you attended a Blue Jays post season game... http://www.stubhub.com/toronto-blue-jays-tickets-blue-jays-vs-indians-10-18-2016/event/9644239/?mbox=1&rS=6&abbyo=true&sliderpos=true&qtyq=false&dUpg=false&sort=price+asc

Bauer is just not likeable Off the top of my head -constant trolling on twitter with fans (both opposing and Cleveland) -made a rap dissing Miguel Montero -constantly butted heads with Dbacks management -extremely arrogant and not willing to listen ever since his draft days And that's all from a player who until this past year didn't do all that good.

The fist three things on that list are great, and I don't really see a problem with him taking responsibility for his own health and schedule. He's kept himself healthy so far, drone injury aside.

It's about the arrogant attitude from a player who thinks he's all that http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/2012/12/12/trevor-bauer-diamondbacks-reds-indians-three-team-trade-miguel-montero/1765351/
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Andrew Miller's FIP this postseason is -0.63. He has essentially thrown a 20 K complete game shutout.

BTS Community Moderator Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Its great to act like a moron on Twitter? The amount of butthurt that occurs from the fans when an opposing player has a bit of fun is ridiculous. It's nice to see a player with some personality.

He was incensed with the number of times Bauer shook off his signs, including the first pitch of his first major-league game against the Atlanta Braves. Montero publicly vented after Bauer's second start against the Los Angeles Dodgers when Bauer told reporters that he needed to tell Montero how he liked to call a game. "What?'' Montero said. "He's going to tell me how to do my job?''" Miguel Montero comes off as the child here.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Bauer comes off as an entitled douche without a chin who really isnt that good at pitching in the major leagues.

If you're making your major league debut, you listen to the veterans.

The handshake/f*** you is pretty ridiculous. But I'd rather we have a bunch of goons who show up and cheer loud than the sparse crowds of yesteryear. I think the fans will get better on the whole as we continue to win.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Apparently neither Jose or JD were available to the media last night. Only two players I have read quotes from are Grilli and Martin. http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/blue-jays-grilli-takes-game-3-loss-particularly-hard/

Few punches thrown then a guy was jersey'd at one point lol. At first I thought the guy in the red jersey was from Cleveland, nope just a Canada Day jersey and our classy fans fighting each other. Cops took them away of course.

The 500 level is usually just an excuse for most folk to get absolutely hammered the 8pm start didn't help matters, many were worse for wear before they got to the dome. Around me last night were families with young kids mixed in with hammered twenty somethings totally unaware of themselves and their behaviour. Within 2 of me rows up and down there were probably 2 dozen fans who would have been thrown out of an English soccer stadium had they exhibited that behaviour there. I swear it seems to have gotten progressively worse throughout this season and it means I won't be buying any seats in the 500s in future. I'm all for having a good time and enjoying yourself but someone somewhere needs to decide when some folk have had simply more drink that they can handle.

The father in me was looking around for kids but didn't see any within a couple rows in front or behind. But yea... I think they could literally cut off drinking at 7th inning but they'd be losing too much $ to do that.
