Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Sanchez is a huge overlooked trading chip imo. If the plan is to move him to the BP anyways, trading him might be the best option. Remember last yr/early this yr when trading him was a better option than sending him back to the BP? He has more value now and has the best chance of fetching us something out of all our prospects. I wouldn't mind Sanchez being moved at all for the pieces to win a WS, as long as a top prospect or two are included in the package.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Jesus christ. This is a baseball forum, not a therapy circle. Uncalled for, lighten up Stangstag Wow really you should!!!

You threw a complete hissy fit this afternoon due to not being able to handle the slightest of criticism. You're really in no position to be telling anyone else to lighten up.

Governator Community Moderator Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Blah blah blah close to 50 percent of posts on this forum are non baseball related 3 games in the past 8 days or so and with deadline approaching armchair GMs come out swinging.

Are you even aware you're in an open Internet forum? It doesn't matter who you're talking to, keep posting stupidity and people will keep pointing it out.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 are we sure BBBB is not another dogg personality? funny that when RA gets banned, BBBB goes bananas on here who cares anyway, i guess unless you are a psychologist

Although i'm sure the mods would be aware if BBBB was dogg (IP adress tracer)
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Another quality banning I see. He deserved it. Don't make a dumb trade proposal and then repeatedly tell people to f*** off when they point out how dumb it is.
TBJ12 Verified Member Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 True, good point. Although i'm sure the mods would be aware if BBBB was dogg (IP adress tracer) I hope you realize how easy it is to hide your IP from a site like this. Do we really need to accuse every poster who has a mind of his/her own of being the dogg?

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 That's pretty rich coming from a guy who's suggested we trade for Erwin Santana and Robbie Ray while Hutch sits in the minors. I'd prefer the Jays actually try to win a world series than dwell in mediocrity hoping to squeak into a wildcard spot. Robbie Ray would be a fantastic pickup - is much better than Hutch. Look past the W-L and ERA will you. Santana, I was wrong, with his contract forget it
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 It's what he does. It's hardly unbearable... He filled like 3 pages of this thread with drivel and insults to other posters
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Isn't the fact that both of those players have played in Colorado for majority of their career pretty significant? That altitude seems to give people fits and I'm not sure how they would perform Toronto. I won't use Tulo as an example, although I could, cause hes battled injury mostly. Not trying to start it up again, just curious.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 I saw on mlbtraderumors that the White Sox are willing to trade their veteran hitters including Eaton and Abreu. If we can't get a SP due to price would trading for Abreu be possible. It would be a huge upgrade at 1B over Smoak imo and Abreu hitting in our lineup would make him 10 times better as well. He has had a kind of down year, so I think he would cost a lot less than a SP and he is controlled through 2019 I think. Would this be a possible trade target if we can't get a SP?
deepz Verified Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 It's what he does. It's hardly unbearable... I'm a lurker who posts every once in a while. That certainly seemed very Dogg-y. It wasn't a "person with a mind of their own". It was a weird non sequitur emotional tire fire. Glad he was banned.

I don't think Toronto has the assets without dipping into Sanchez or Stroman.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Boone Logan. Trade for Boone Logan.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 I don't think Toronto has the assets without dipping into Sanchez or Stroman. Does Toronto have another similar pitcher like Nestor Molina that the White Sox might covet?

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 I don't think Toronto has the assets without dipping into Sanchez or Stroman. Not even close. We are talking about a .260 hitter with like 7 HRs at this moment. I'd say Connor Greene, Tellez, and maybe a low level OF prospect. Abreu would cost more than most cause of control but nothing at all close to Sanchez or Stroman
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Are you saying you could get Abreu for Greene+Tellez+filler?
King Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Are you saying you could get Abreu for Greene+Tellez+filler? The same guy who wouldn't trade Hoffman for anyone. His valuations are a little bit off.

Abreu would cost more than most cause of control but nothing at all close to Sanchez or Stroman He still has three years of team control at a very affordable rate. Some team is going to convince themselves that he's not finished yet at 29 years old and make a better offer than a couple of fringy guys not even in the top-100 prospects. I think they'd be pretty justified asking for Stroman actually. Both having previous success, both having absolute s*** years. Abreu with the better track record, Stroman cheaper. 4 years of control for Stro, 3 for Abreu. I'm not endorsing that move, but I'm pretty sure that's what the ask would be given the poor state of the team's farm.
