Nice hustle, girl. If he can scratch out a journeyman career, there's decent money to squeeze out of him. Tell her to poke a hole in the condom.

She went out AS HIM for Halloween last year.

She's committed to the bit.

That's some serious commitment. She must have had to buy a Pompey jersey and get a Bluejays hat. The effort boggles my mind.

He's dating a high schooler?

TRM is not in highschool, Pompey dating someone from his highschool would indicate that she's about the same age as TRM, i.e. she went to highschool at the same time as TRM.

Common sense, it's a good thing.

So does Carerra stay in RF and Bautista DH when he comes back? Carerra has been a better hitter than Smoak this year..

I wouldn't be dropping Carrera on present form,as you say Bautista to dh.

Smoak can gtf.

FFS if you're so interested, she's easy to find. She's in like a quarter of Pompey's Instagram photos.

Summer.CJS is her instagram handle, and she's 25ish, she was two years ahead of me at my high school.

I'd rather save Carrera for the bench. During tight games/playoffs can you imagine having Pompey and Carrera on the bench?? Leadoff hitter gets aboard = Pompey on third 1 out.

Thats obviously not going to happen during the season.

I don't really see why it would be a prohibitive in-season move.

Meh she is ok in the "I am trying to look like a Kardashian type of look" but you can tell she is not worth the headache at all. If I saw her at a club I wouldn't look twice and that isn't just because she isn't black, just saying.

I'd be looking at Ervin Santana from the Twinkies.

Shouldn't cost much and with Sanchez to the 'pen gives the Jays an elite 'pen, a quite reasonable rotation and sound lineup with the exception of a defensive hole in RF.

Issue with Pompey is that his best path to value is CF and that's blocked by Pillar. Neither of them are all that appealing in a corner spot. Moving Dalton in a deadline deal would make a lot of sense as both a way of sparing the thin farm and cashing in on a rare duplicate asset. That's assuming of course that you find a team whose needs line up in a way that makes such a deal mutually beneficial which isn't a given.

Pompey is worthless IMO

0.4 WAR in 150 PA (1.6 per 600)

Projects at the same rate (if not more) and has tons of potential.

Definitely not worthless.

Why not just use Hutch? Who would pay the remaining salary?

Still need your depth pieces.

But yeah, didn't look at Santana's remaining salary. I take the suggestion back.

Robbie Ray is a guy I'm looking at..... s***** W-L and ERA but nice peripherals and highest BABIP in MLB. Stewart could be fleeced.

Votto please.

Votto

Tulo

I see one big fish, kind of obvious - Freddie Freeman

Don't see very many other position player options right now. Toronto has most positions covered with league average or better players so efficient upgrades are not easy to find. Would probably have to be a 1B/DH type to replace Smoak.

Danny Valencia?

Does Teixeria even project better than Smoak at this point? He'd be free I guess. Yankees would probably pay his whole contract for a C prospect.

Steve Pearce is a good one. Get Steve Pearce.

Carlos Beltran is a good one.

Toronto could look for a rotation upgrade, especially if Sanchez has to transition to the pen later on. Rich Hill is obvious and has been mentioned. Hill might be the only rental SP who would be an obvious talent upgrade on someone in the playoff rotation.

Relievers - I actually don't see very many rental veterans. David Hernandez? Brad Ziegler.

There's Chapman, but f*** paying the Yankees for him.

Tyler Clippard - owed 4M in 2017.

I see a lot of guys with a few years of control though. Trevor May, Hector Neris, Cam Bedrosian, Michael Tonkin, Alex Colome, Tyler Thornburg, Jeremy Jeffress, Ian Krol, numerous others....

Need more teams to tumble out of the wild card pictures.

Pompey has actually been good when not concussed or injured. Rediculous to give up on him because he was rushed.

Get Trevor May. Keep him in the pen the rest of the year and then stretch him out next spring.

The Twins are like Pete Walker, they love dat "pitch 2 contact" philosophy, and May is not that type of pitcher. Buy low.

We should try to get Kendall Graveman, our team would be way better if we had him instead of Donaldson...

Vogelbach, probably.

Kyle Schwarber!

Srsly let's just sign Eric Thames or Steve Pearce in the offseason

High chance we don't do anything at the deadline?

Minor move or two at most I think and maybe 1 of those moves would be a waiver pickup after the first deadline.

Shapiro and Atkins arent the "trade minor leaguers for rentals" type people.
