It's an 8 man pen right now, you only have to be 4th best to be considered one of the better ones. Not exactly a stretch

Can't see him being better than Osuna, Biagini, and Cecil(once healthy). I guess he could potentially be our 4th best guy out of the pen

Grilli seems like a cool guy overrall, he also used to be a very good pitcher. I hope he succeeds with us, seems to like it here.

How would you rate the relievers now?

1.Osuna

2.Biagini

3.Floyd

4.Chavez

5. Grilli

6. Storen

Who's better Morales or Loup? Lets hope Morales can contribute when he gets back.

Moving the order around every couple games as many fans like doing simply doesn't reflect reality. The talent levels stay pretty consistent.

There is no distinction to be made. Reliever streakiness is an illusion.

Oh, I see you got this thing all figured out.

Shouldn't Grilli and Storen be higher on the list? especially over Chavez, a man with not much success in the big leagues.

Storen could hardly be higher. Chavez has plenty of success and a nice projection.

Youre right, I miss read. Continue on with your logic, as flawed as it may be.

This. I have Cecil at #3 once he is back, I still think he will turn things around.

I'm shocked to see so many people rank Grilli in the middle of the pack. I've watched him with Atlanta and he's not the same pitcher he was a few years back with Pittsburgh. He's an extreme fly-ball pitcher with waning velocity. Terrible fit for the AL East I'm afraid.

How is Grili ahead of Storen based on recent performance?

Grilli:

May - 14 K/9, 35 K%, 30 Hard%, 3.45 FIP

Storen:

May - 11.4 K/9, 27 K%, 42.9 Hard%, 3.23 FIP

I guess it's a toss up, but I trust Grilli more.

You could pick any guys in any order after Osuna and you wouldnt really be wrong.

CL Osuna

RHR Floyd, Storen, Chavez, Grilli, Biagini

LOOGY Loup

That pen actually looks very good and very deep.

Cherry picking the stats I see.

f*** you, for one.

Secondly, those are some of the most important stats for a reliever, so..

1. Osuna

2. Cecil

3. Chavez

4. Biagini

5. Storen

6. Loup

7. Floyd

8. Grilli

I don't agree with the order but that has the potential to be a pretty deep and effective bullpen moving forward.

If we ever go to a 7 man bullpen who would be the odd man out? Loup because he has options?

Not sure I agree with this order, but going into 2016 I liked this pen and still think it can come around. We are seeing small signs of that. I'm also encouraged our rotation can backfill with Chavez, Floyd and Hutch when Sanchez goes to pen. If our offense lights up that should be enough depth. I like that mgm is trying to add more with Grilli etc.

..?

I assume he meant when he was on with Tim and Sid(Jeff Blair) and said how we went into Gibbys office asking him what the hell he thought he was doing using Grilli in the 8th (his debut game) and Gibby fired back "Well, you traded for him didn't you? When should I use him?" Or something along those lines. Atkins was smiling and laughing about it, but, it did seem pretty odd.

Atkins job is to acquire the talent, Gibby's is to use it as he sees fit. If Atkins is seriously in there questioning Gibby about use of Grilli, then a. Atkins is stupid, and b. Gibby's not gonna be around long term.
