Did someone post the pic of the 10 year old doing a huge bat flip, then dancing down the first base line after hitting a HR in little league? Maybe I saw that elsewhere (who can keep track)....anyway....I loved Jose's bat flip and in general, at the MLB level have no problem with them.....but I definitely don't think we want 10 year olds rocking massive bat flips in little league. Is that hypocritical? or am I right?

I'd agree. Pimping homers off of 70 mph fastballs when you are 4 years ahead on the puberty curve isn't cool.

I think context matters and I think that's something you can explain to a kid. Pimping every homerun like it's the Bautista blast doesn't make sense.

Hahaha... I saw that on MLB Network last night, it was great.

Next thing you know someone will just punch that kid in the face...and then market a drink made to commemorate it. (jk).

That would be an epic follow up story...

(hipsters - notice the correct use of the word epic)

I like talking about baseball. It's great that the Blue Jays have so much support across Canada.

So they just announced during the game that Odor's suspension has been reduced by 1 game to 7..

How does this happen after the guy said he didn't regret anything and was attempting to profit off it?

Posted
Odor's suspension reduced to 7 games. I wonder what the reasoning is for this.

No clue. Guy lost his marbles out there. I thought 8 was a little light.

Posted
Well if Odor's was reduced then Bautista's gotta be overturned. Just no way within the realm of sanity that you can go easy on Odor and hard line on Bautista.

This. MLB looks pretty f***ing pathetic right now

odor got reduced to 7 because reasons

Temporary insanity plea!!!

Or

I am a Stupid person !!!

8 games was a Joke and light, especially in light of what he said, then trying to profit on it as well !!!

Fly him to Toronto make him stand there and let Jose smack him right in the head!! One punch, eye for an eye!

We could sell tickets and broadcast rights with profits given to charity!

Did mlb give any official statement as to why they reduced his punishment?

Its to bad Odor didn't break his hand or something that would have been real justice. This is ********. What arguement could they have possibly had? The punch didn't knock him down? Odor could of punched him in the throat but chooses not too.

The suspensions have been all over the map. Odor getting 7 is laughable but they mishandled the Jays suspensions as well.

How the hell does Bautista get suspended for taking a shot to the jaw but Pillar doesn't get a single game for throwing about dozen punches at 2 or 3 different players?

I'm pretty sure that's why Odors suspension was light to begin with. Donaldson and Pillar should have both been suspended at least two games. They reduced Odors suspension to 8(now 7) to make up not suspending those two.

That's what I assumed.

Proof? I didn't see him throw a single punch, but ok...

How can you guys get mad at Odor having one less game to his suspension? Just consider it a corrective balance - at least we did not have any suspension for Pillar or Donaldson.

Also, did Chavez appeal his suspension? Haven't seen him pitch in awhile.

He served it. I don't think you can appeal what he did. Pretty sure it's a mandatory 3 games for intentionally throwing at someone.

It is after a warning, which is why Matt Bush only got 1 game for throwing at Bats. It's ******** overall though, if the intent is there is should be the same suspension for both, warning or not.

Stevie wonder could see that he threw multiple punches

Maybe Stevie Wonder has a 6th sense?

Care to show video of Pillar throwing any number of punches? 1 punch will suffice.

Matt Bush didn't get suspended any games.

I'm at work so I can't sorry.

But if you watched the Simpsons and you remember that episode where Bart and Lisa were on opposite hockey teams? Bart started flailing his arms saying if I hit you it's not my fault.

In the video of the brawl that guy doing that was Pillar.

What Chavez did I really don't think a warning would matter or not..
