Statman Verified Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 You are to play the game a certain way. To put it midly Jose Batista does not play the game that way. He plays it the wrong way. He got what is coming to him. Adam Jones almost did the same to him last season. To call it a sucker punch is insane. They were both face to face. That isn't in anyway a sucker punch. LOL Manny Machado plays the game "the right way" by throwing bats at people and having a hissy fit over getting tagged? If this is actually you and not some other troll how can anybody say at any point that "Graveman would be helping them more than Donaldson". My lord that was the dumbest baseball comment of all time.
Statman Verified Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 http://i.imgur.com/ie69uv3.gif the right way!!!!!!
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Can we just get a ban on weams? That's how their board operates, not sure why we would let him over here.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Based on what precedent? Weams' precedent, the archaic 80 year old Showalter tea-bagger!

Seems to me like he's pretty good at it, so I find it hard to believe that he plays it the wrong way.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Well with the Orioles Buck only accepts the right way. If Jose was still on Baltimore nad flipped the bat like that last year in the playoffs he'd be sitting a game or two out in the ALCS I can tell you that. Lol Manny Machado plays for the Orioles. He didn't do a bat flip, he actually threw a bat at a player. Remember that? What did 'ole Buck do about that? Surely he "sat him for a game or two" right? Nope he had Machado appeal and started Machado until his suspension was upheld because: The most important thing for him right now is make sure he puts the club in a position in case we make an adjustment in our roster," Showalter said. "It's a little short notice to get somebody here if he started [the suspension] tonight. I think that's his biggest concern, trying to see if he can help us lessen the blow on the impact on the roster." You can read about it here: http://m.mlb.com/news/article/79091982/orioles-machado-suspended-five-games-for-throwing-bat
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 why are you guys even responding to him.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Since the Blue Jays took him for 1 month and then released him for assault, Bush was charged with multiple offenses after driving drunk (again) on a suspended license and running over a 72 year old's head and fleeing the scene, for which he was incarcerated. Texas then sign him up after his release with a rap sheet a mile long. Texas=not classy. That's my point. Bush is not the only player with a troubled past to get signed to a MLB team. Texas is not exceptional in this sense and neither was Toronto when they signed him. You have no point. You make no sense. You just run your mouth.

Yeah, causing the team to possibly lose entire games is a great and proper punishment for showing emotion. Everyone needs to be a miserable old ******* just like Ol' Buck.

weams Verified Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Manny didn't mean to let go of that bat. The difference is Jose knew what he was doing when he flipped the bat. And yes donaldson is very overrated. But please somebody tell me how it was a sucker punch again? They were squared up ready to fight. Is Odor supposed to say "sir I'm going to punch you in the face now? "

This is obviously a troll/parody account and people are taking the bait. Who talks like this? I mean, even if you agree with his premise, this just screams of an SNL skit of a Sarah Palin impression.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 The Rangers also have a zero tolerance policy with Bush. He's even under a strict prohibition to not touch alcohol. Point? Pretty easy to see his point. He said having people like Bush and Odor speaks volumes about their org. You countered with "Bush was a Jay" as if it speaks negatively to the Jays org. Praxis correctly points out that his time spent in the org was minimal because of his inability to follow rules. Stop being obtuse.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Manny didn't mean to let go of that bat. Well if that's what you believe maybe you should hang out with willfully blind Orioles homers. If only there was some sort of exclusive community for such people...
weams Verified Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 So nobody cares to explain how it was the first ever face to face sucker punch? Ok then.

You countered with "Bush was a Jay" as if it speaks negatively to the Jays org. Praxis correctly points out that his time spent in the org was minimal because of his inability to follow rules. Stop being obtuse. Except it doesn't speak negatively to the Jays or the Rangers. Baseball teams hire all sorts of people. That's the business and the Rangers and Jays are not exceptional in that sense. Would you argue that the Jays are not class because they had a hot head like Lawrie on the team? No of course not. It's just as dumb to make that argument about the Rangers unless you want to come off like a blind homer. Odor is a piece of s*** but do you really think the Jays would lift his nose at his talent if he was in their own organization and not the Rangers? It's an idiotic line of reasoning.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 So nobody cares to explain how it was the first ever face to face sucker punch? Ok then. FFS. Only maybe half of us top would call it a "sucker punch" but nice job moving the goal posts, joker.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Did you guys see this minor league video of Odor? He's the one who slides off the base at the SS and he's still the one to throw the first punches. I really hate this guy now. That little s*** can actually throw a pretty good punch lol. I wonder if that history will be taken in to account when he's punished? He's obviously got anger issues. He tried starting this same s*** 2 weeks ago after taking offense to a tag by Donaldson.
weams Verified Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Yooo Donaldson GOT HIM IN THE FACE LOOOOOL Why were you carrying on like this? This never happened. What were you talking about? You literally claimed he knocked out Odor. He tried tackling him and Odor got right up and went elsehwere. When did he "knock him out with a right hook" as you said in this thread.
King Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 FFS. Only maybe half of us top would call it a "sucker punch" but nice job moving the goal posts, joker. Half is way too much credit. Only 4 people called it a sucker punch and the rest of the discussion was on whether it was a sucker punch or not. http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/search.php?searchid=983653&pp=&page=2
