burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Actually that is how it works. Many steroids stay in the blood months after. 2 – 4 months Testosterone Cypionate, Primoteston Depot, Sten, Sustanon, Sostenon, Durateston, Anadrol, Anapolin, Hemogenin, Stenox, Halotesten, and Winstrol are drugs, which can show up on a blood or urine screen within one to four months of use. These are acceptable for off-season use by many athletes who are not tested during this period, as they are often out of the system by the time the season starts. 2 to 6 weeks Nilevar, Parabolan, Dianabol (oral), D-Bol (oral), Primobolan Depot, Anavar, Winstrol/Stanozolol (oral), and testosterone Propionate are compounds, which work fast and move through the system very quickly. Just as their half-life is short, the positive anabolic effects upon their body are done quickly as well. I'm saying you can't break up 1 pill throw it into a guys coffee and expect him to fail a drug test. The amount it would take to register on a test is more than that. You realize players get tested in the offseason as well...
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Really. They probably wouldn't be too happy with him if he's know since the middle of March He was probably encouraged by his union to keep it quiet. He probably doesn't make the 25-man if the team knows, and 4 weeks of MLB pay is nothing to sneeze at.

You can't make a black or white statement on it. You realize players get tested in the offseason as well... Yes. The information was copied from another site so it wasn't mlb specific.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 I would love to see this for the sake of interest, regardless of what team it happened to. 20+ guys getting 80 game suspensions is instantly the most interesting single season of baseball in baseball history. Well if we want to get dark here, how about the loss of life for an entire team (airplane crash?) They would have to enact the Disaster draft https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disaster_draft "If the commissioner decides that the disabled club will continue to play, the commissioner may hold a Restocking Draft to allow the disabled club to select as many players as it lost, with the restriction that no more than one player can be selected from each team. Each of the non-disabled teams makes five players available for the draft taken from its active list (or if during the off-season, from its reserve list), composed of one pitcher, one catcher, one outfielder, one infielder, and one more player of any position, subject to adjustments by the commissioner based on the players lost by the disabled club"

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Maybe there were others and it was swept under the rug except for Cola who was sacrificed
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 They should enact that for the Phillies I assume the rule is from the 40-man roster, but if it was from the 25-man roster: Jays: -Venditte -Thole -Barney -Carrera -??? I also wonder if the receiving team must pay the salary

Maahfaace Verified Member Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 I grew up with the 'devil's advocate' mantra lol. Even at work I have so many unique ideas that when I suggested it to upper management gave me a weird look. For example, I work in retail. Lets say I work for Adidas and my competitor is Nike. I want to sabotage Nike's sales. The best place I can do this is at The Bay since they have a lax refund policy. You can buy a product and return it to any store, no questions asked. You can event return it at a store that doesn't have a Nike fixture or sell those products at that particular location. So what I could do is buy a bunch of high-priced Nike items (high price means less inventory on hand) or even get the company to hire other people to buy Nike product, and then we all return it at lower selling, s***** stores (e.g. buy from Queen flagship and return to Scarborough Town Centre). What ends up happening, is all this new product that Nike wanted to sell to customers actually ends up in stockrooms in stores that can't even carry the item. Customers can't see your product? Then no sales I should set up a consulting firm. Working at the Bay must be lifelong dream come true, so jealous of your career!
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Working at the Bay must be lifelong dream come true, so jealous of your career! lol I don't work at The Bay. I used to, but I was in the corporate office.

baseballsss Verified Member Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Working at the Bay must be lifelong dream come true, so jealous of your career! Even if he did who gives a s***? People are just trying to make a living and that involves working, grow up.
baseballsss Verified Member Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 s*** didn't see it says you have to make 5 players available...that would suck then haha

admin Site Manager Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 As Morosi pointed out this morning, the PED in question is illegal so it's not like you'd find it in an over the counter supplement unless it was tainted. The c) explanation is not impossible but it's pretty unlikely. If he didn't know, it's probably because he didn't want to know. It's doubtful that he was contaminated by a sanctioned product. Rare, but not unheard of for supp manufacturers to slip a little something in there to give it a little boost.

gbill2004 Verified Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 So Colabello is going to be speaking with Sportsnet media to give his side of the story prior to tonight's game. That'll be interesting...
GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Did this s*** happen with Everth Cabrera or any of the other mediocre players suspended or is it just Sportsnet being Sportsnet?
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Did this s*** happen with Everth Cabrera or any of the other mediocre players suspended or is it just Sportsnet being Sportsnet? There's only 2 reasons I can think of for this. 1. They mistakenly think Jays fans give half a s*** about Colabello 2. They found something in his story that might be exculpatory and want to get it out there, because they mistakenly think Jays fans give half a s*** about Colabello

I have heard a lot of them (not on here much). One caller on Jays Talk told Ben Ennis the team should wear a patch in his honour this season and maybe put a big pic of his mushroom head in the clubhouse to keep them thinking of him until he returns for the Second Coming and resurrection. I don't get it. He was a good story....now its just another good one gone bad.
