burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Probably unpopular, but I find Stroman incredibly annoying. I get what he's saying but he made himself sound like a huge dick in the process. I'm fine with what he does on the mound, I'm sure he has no problem when guys pimp homers off him. Grilli looked like an idiot last night though.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Probably unpopular, but I find Stroman incredibly annoying. Unpopular. Chase Headly was right on the money.
ChrisS Verified Member Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Stroman needs to shut his mouth and let his pitching do the talking, especially after what happened last night.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Shut the f*** up Stroman.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Probably unpopular, but I find Stroman incredibly annoying. Definitely my least favourite player on the Jays personality wise. A huge Napoleon complex is never something I have admired in people.
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 what did Headley say yesterday?
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 what did Headley say yesterday? “Listen, these guys are the kings of fun. The bat flip, guys yelling at players,” Headley said. “Stroman was screaming at our guys when he was pitching, yelling at guys to ‘get off the effing field’ when you strike somebody out. So, you’ve got to take some of your medicine. I have no idea if that was what [Teixiera’s celebration] was about. But they certainly have no shortage of emotion. And if you’re going to play like that, then you’ve got to expect to get some of it back.” "They’ve got a lot of guys over there who have a lot of bravado, if you want to call it that. They enjoy it when they hit home runs. They enjoy it when they get outs," Headley added. "And it rubs guys the wrong way sometimes. So, when you give up runs or you give up a big hit, guys are sometimes going to react that way."

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Stroman would like great in a different uniform next year.
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Stroman would like great in a different uniform next year. #QueenofBoring
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Stroman would like great in a different uniform next year. Eh, I'm still fine with him on the team, I just want him to shut up sometimes.
Maahfaace Verified Member Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Stro has the classic little man syndrome, always on hyper defensive alert anytime anyone says anything about him. As for Grilli, he really cant say s***, he freaks out everytime he ends an inning ffs. Its an invitation to pimp tators off him.
Plat Verified Member Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 f*** Stroman, Headley is 100 percent right
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 f*** Stroman, Headley is 100 percent right They're both right to some degree, but Stroman makes his side much worse by coming off as a total jagoff. Complaining about teams having fun in general is really dumb.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Meh I support Stroman and the bravado on the team. That said, Headley is completely right. Stroman didn't need to respond.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Yeah, Headley is spot on. And that sucks because I'd rather be defending the Jays than the damn Yankees.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Frankly I have some doubts about that. Doubts about what? Me defending the Jays? Lol. All I do is hype up the current front office every chance I get, but yeah, I'm a Yankees fan in disguise. You got me.

I'm not going to go back to those comments pre-trade deadline, but suffice to say that had me wondering.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Old 3 way tie for the WC would be beyond awesome
2lowitzki Verified Member Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 So with today's victory, the Blue Jays are 10-7 against the Orioles. That means we already won the season series against the Orioles. If the Jays are tied with the Orioles for the first wildcard spot to end the season, the game will happen at our home. I'm really worried about the Tigers because they got the Braves for their last 3 games.. We need to get through the BoSox at Fenway.. So I want the Jays to sweep the Orioles to clinch the first spot ASAP.

What happens if we tie with the Tigers though? We won the season series 4-3 so I assume we get home field advantage.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Probably unpopular, but I find Stroman incredibly annoying. Great comments from Stroman. Headley is being a baby. He doesn't know what Stroman is yelling and if he ever yelled get off the F'ing field after striking a guy out we would see and hear it. There would also be words exchanged at that moment. Headley is making probably making stuff up to cover the classless display by Severino charging the plate.
CBlake Verified Member Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Jays clinch the 1st wild card with the Tigers and Orioles have to play a tiebreaker would be ideal.

A WC2 tie is decided with an actual game though, so there's not as much of an advantage there (though the Jays would get home field for that game).

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 28, 2016 Author Posted September 28, 2016 Well s*** Yankees have a significant SP advantage over the Red Sox for their last two games and they will never takes games against Boston lightly It WOULD be fun if the Yankees won both of those games giving is at least a theoretical chance to catch the Red Sox on the weekend Obviously highly highly unlikely but why not. Just for fun
