Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Why would the Dodgers do it? Puig is cheap and under control through 2018.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Why would the Dodgers do it? Puig is cheap and under control through 2018. Because Puig's a headache who's severely underperforming and seemingly hurt a lot. They may want to "win now"
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Because Puig's a headache who's severely underperforming and seemingly hurt a lot. They may want to "win now" Gotcha. I just think despite all that having Puig for 2017 and 2018 for a total of 14 million make him more valuable than Bautista for half a year. Especially with no DH in the NL and Bautista coming off his injury.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Saunders sitting against the LHP, Barney can play the OF. Travis isn't leading off, Barney is? I miss typed the Travis part...meant to say why isn't he leading off. I think Travis would be a better fit in LF in this emergency situation
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Gotcha. Especially with no DH in the NL and Bautista coming off his injury. Considering Puig has been s***, does whatever the f*** he wants, and the Dodgers not caring about money. They wouldn't miss him at all. They want him gone. It's trying to salvage value for him being the problem. That contract is a bargain if he's playing the way hes capable of playing. Problem is its not happening.
Governator Community Moderator Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Well, I'm not sure if this video belongs here or in the Off Topic section but I think it explains where Buck Martinez has been. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fKfMUR9qVk Obviously I stole this off reddit. That was damn painful to watch.

Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 I read that they have to make a decision on Morales within 48 hours.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 21, 2016 Author Posted July 21, 2016 They're equivalent with the bat. Trout has the edge in baserunning, Donaldson has it on defense As usual it will come down to other silly things (RBI, team making playoffs or not, etc)

Trout has the edge in baserunning, Donaldson has it on defense As usual it will come down to other silly things (RBI, team making playoffs or not, etc) In this case I wouldn't mind that since it means JD would repeat. That said I could see Altuve winning because he's not far behind in WAR, has never won it before, and "look at dat AVG".
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 21, 2016 Author Posted July 21, 2016 Kershaw doesn't play in the AL. I only showed top 2, all of baseball, but only position players, and I didn't mention that. Hence confusion.

Hes getting his revenge for everyone calling him an idiot on passing up the Nats extension. He will probably get more now.

He will probably get more now. Unless Texas have a similar extension on the table, it was still pretty stupid. He could be making the big time cash already.

I just felt bad for the guy to be honest. Got some really bad advice and he's shutting people up. He should clean up in the OF market this year.
