And considering how overworked the O's pen is, it's questionable whether they'll be able to sustain their record, or will Toronto/Boston overtake them for good?

I think they'll fade. That rotation is garbage.

Why wouldn't he wait until Wed or Thurs to give Edwin a day off? Especially on a day when a guy barely cracking a .100 batting average is in the lineup.

For real. Edwin is white hot right now. At least do the day off when Martin is catching FFS.

I was at the game yesterday so didn't hear what happened when Edwin took 3rd, but did anyone talk about WHY exactly he was stealing 3rd with 2 outs? I'd imagine everyone on here cheered because it worked out, but would have blasted him if it didnt.

it's cause they played a semi shift on him. The 3rd baseman was more to the left of where a SS would play. If the throw was good he'd be out, though.

My guess is that Edwin was a bit banged up from his slide into 3rd.

For all the grief that Gibbons receives, and a lot of it is justified, I'm pretty sure he knows how hot Edwin is at the moment. I can't imagine it's just a random day off.

Seems you're right!

We need him back, and to be good so badly. Could be a massive shot in the arm and take a lot of pressure off of Osuna.

Yea that'd be nice, I wouldn't bank on it though but let's hope for the best.

The bullpen is starting to show it's true colours, both good and bad. At this point I think we can look at those we trust right now vs those we don't.

This would be my list.

Trust List

- Osuna Matata

- Grilli has 10K in his last 4 IP...

- Chavez last 9.2 IP: 9K 0ER

- Storen 12K 3BB in last 11.1 IP going back to May 11th. Filthy slider.

Do Not Trust List

- Biagini Last 6 outings has only lasted 2.1 innings. 5ER, 2K, 4BB

- Loup mix bag of s***. As a loogy, his 2 HR have come from lefties in his 3 innings of work.

- Floyd has been mostly bad, had a stretch of 7.1IP between May & June where he gave up 10ER...

- Venditte/Diamond thanks for coming out

Undecided

- Brett Cecil

#BlueJays option Aaron Loup and Scott Diamond, will make corresponding moves tomorrow.

Who is coming up? Could be a reliever and an extra positional player with the games being interleague and a couple of our guys being nicked up.

Burns provides some versatility that could be useful.

Loup has been s*** and I don't like the guy, but is there anyone who can replace him? Or are we going to go to Girodo again..

Leblanc possibly, and Pompey for sure. We need his bat in the NL format.

Barney and Goins bring the versatility, it'll be Pompey.

Yeah Pompey would be a nice add considering 5 of the next 13 games are in NL parks. Would be an okay pinch hitter and good defensive replacement and pinch runner.

Yup, he's still a couple weeks away, though.

?? Sarcasm ?? If he's playing in Dunedin he is hopefully a couple days away. He's not going to play in Dunedin for 2 weeks?? Is he?

He'll only be batting for a few days, he had a recent setback, when he starts fielding and gets in as many bats as possible, I'd say two weeks, easy. As he moves up to AA/AAA.

Danny Barnes and Wade LeBlanc would be good choices. Barnes' stats look real good in AA and LeBlanc's FIP / K/9 as a starter in AAA could really play up in our BP, possibly improve.

I bet they're eyeing the Colorado series for his return, coincidentally
