puphood Verified Member Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 (edited) If the offense doesn't show up for these series, it better be the end of the "it's still early" excuses. By the end of this stretch it will be June 5th, two months in. Your right on this one, this is 12 games that count, and if they don't move out of the cellar things should happen with this team one way or the other...... Edited May 23, 2016 by puphood spelling
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Aaron Sanchez 59 IP 1,2 WAR ...f***, the guy is good I'm still surprised about his resurgence. If he ever commanded that change-up and got it down to 86/87, he'd be elite.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 I have a feeling Dickey is staying in Toronto even after the year. Shapiro & Co will qualify him and he will accept We are long and far from ridding ourselves of RA If I didn't hate you before.. I do now after reading this!!! Lol
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 And the offsense had better f'n show up We SHOULD be able to score off most of both of those teams' starters. The bullpens are so good we have to get on them early and often though. Bring it! Anything Less then 8 out of 12 should be considered a Epic Fail !!!
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Next 12 games: 6 vs BOS and 6 vs NYY Do or die time I really don't like MLB scheduling. I hate how clumped together everything is. 7 games vs. Texas in two weeks and now 12 against the Yanks and Sox? I wish things were more spread out. Still haven't seen the Mariners, Angels, Astros, Indians, Tigers, or Royals. And only one series vs. the O's.

He might accept. I'd try and sneak an option in there as well. Just find a new C instead of Thole.

TheGrandslamMan Verified Member Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Next 12 games: 6 vs BOS and 6 vs NYY Do or die time Yikes... That honestly scares me. I'm not sold on the Yankees offense, but their bullpen is so lethal that they can eek out games in an annoying fashion.
TheGrandslamMan Verified Member Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Let's just hope the rotation continues to roll like it has eh fellas? I'm honestly pretty dumbfounded by how bad the offense has performed. Now I know Zauns a sensationalist and can be a little "out there", but he has this theory that since the Jays are now the big bats in the league that the scouting on the offense has improved and that the pitchers are really zoning in and pitching them tougher than ever before. Is the offensive drought simply a result of the pitchers exploiting their weaknesses and the batters not being astute enough to adjust?
WryNGinger Verified Member Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Prediction for the next 12 against BoSox and Yanks? I am honestly at a loss....don't know what to think of this team right now. I would not be surprised at 8-4 or 4-8....
TheGrandslamMan Verified Member Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 I would be absolutely thrilled at 8-4. I don't see it happening though. I'm predicting 5-7. Breaking even or going 7-5 would be great, but I don't see them doing any better than that.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 The Bluejays will break that pesky 11 wins in a row record during this stand against the Yankees/Redsox.
FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 We need to go 9-3. We probably go 3-9

Cyborg Verified Member Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Smoak not in lineup today. Paredes at DH. Barney getting another start vs. RHP. Pretty definitive that he will stay with the team over Goins one would think.

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Caught Hentgen on Baseball Central today. Really thought he gave a good interview on the pen etc. http://www.sportsnet.ca/590/baseball-central-at-noon/
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Here's the lineup: Bautista RF Donaldson 3B Encarnacion 1B Saunders LF Tulo SS Paredes DH Pillar CF Barney 2B Thole C I think Goins is on his way to Buffalo by week's end.. obvious they're keeping Barney as the utility infielder when Travis returns and sending Goins down until he actually starts hitting.
