I was really hoping to do this. Having the ability to tailor your ballpark to your team would be very fun. Imagine having a short porch in LF with the Blue Jays RH power hitters? I have to think its very difficult to implement it in the game and thats why they haven't added it.

Even if they made it just for franchise mode I would be happy. This and being able to move your franchise to other cities. I want to move the Rays to Montreal and build a stadium that would be pretty fun.

 

I think I will run a franchise again this year. I haven't in a couple years. Not sure what team to pick. I never use to the Blue Jays. Usually a s***** team that is about to have their GM fired.

You're exactly like me! I never play with the Jays and I want an underdog team... I also want to move the Rays to Montreal and do a redraft there as well lol. A stadium builder would be AWESOME. To this day I still don't get how MVP Baseball 2005 had so many features than any other game, it had a stadium builder (in owner mode I think). Still my favorite baseball game, logged so many hours playing that it's unbelievable, it got me into baseball hardcore in the first place.

That's what I'm saying lol I haven't played the game anytime recently but from what I remember, the amount of small modes/features it has that would be very popular today are missing in games like The Show and 2K when that was still around

Yep. It's not even close . People let nostalgia cloud their judgement. High heat was as good as mvp. The show is the most realistic depiction of its sport in gaming.

Never played High Heat so I don't know. But I spent many, many hours playing MVP. Gaming has come a LONG way since then. The Show is light years better than MVP ever was. Would be nice to have a relocation or build a stadium option but not at the expense of gameplay.

There's always someone, "if I can't have it no one else should enjoy it either or I'll feel left out." They have 9 months to make improvements and this was their second year on next gen systems. It was markedly better than The Show '14 and this year's looks better than '15. To say otherwise is ridiculous.

Players not applying tags, not fielding ground balls that are easily in arm's length. Then there was the Diamond Dynasty cheese. If I ever felt like getting pissed off, just had to turn my ps4 and play that for about an hour.

I never experienced any of the problems you're talking about...have you downloaded the most recent patches? I actually pre-ordered the game and stayed up until midnight on the launch day to play it though and I never had any issues even then. Maybe your sliders are screwed up or something?

I mean, I'd settle under a fly, need to make a minor adjustment and my player would move too far, and when I tried to adjust him back, he just lunged at the ball. Happened several times.

 

I started playing DD and it was fun (I like collecting) but the cheese was too much most of the time, +the mode was kind of bland.

Ah yeah, fielding takes some practice, they put a lot of emphasis on your route to the ball so you really have to time it. Don't move the stick completely over one way so you're running full speed. If you just barely move it you'll slow down. Think of when you're hitting how sensitive the stick is...same way for fielding. You can also turn on field assist which I normally do.

Issues exist, but the game is not unplayable like the nonsense you were going on with, nor does the catcher do dives ever unless you are hitting the dive button. Again you guys are doing something wrong, are simply can;t use a controller properly...No one on OS sports, No reviewers nor anyone I know who plays online has ever had any of these issues nor has other guy in this thread. Saying there are issues sure, fielding could be more streamlined and bugs exists like every game, but saying it was terrible and unplayable is FUD. several being one, no one has had any of the other issues you had nor is saying it is unplayable, it is the highest rated sports franchise for a decade for a reason.

 

The issue the other poster had was him not being very good....he is not in the right spot to catch the ball in time. the show is a sim, not arcade baseball. It takes practice. Keep in mind fielding can be tailored in the show to play any way you wish.

Nonono it's a new addition to the universe not to do with the Shepard story, it's called Andromida I think it's about an cowboy-like space explorer. Only thing that has the same as the other 3 is the species and planets/systems

You can't compare a 2005 game to now, but MVP was the best game out for a long time, until at least 2008 the show. 2K7 was better than the show at the time and that game was garbage. I played MVP until at least 2009

CD projekt RED is the new Bioware, I can't wait for their new massive RPG "cyberpunk 2077" Same team that made the witcher 3.

MLB the show made 2k look like it was low budget title made my inexperienced developers. That game was ass that had a plethora of issues and did not touch the shows authenticity and realistic gameplay, stats....Heck 40 pitch complete games were the norm in that game. 2k baseball won worst sports game of the year several years....... It was so bad the show in 1 platform outsold 2k on 3 platforms, to the point they stopped making them. MLB 07 was way better even back then not sure what you are talking about.

CD Project, From Software, and numerous PC rpg developers are better then bioware, Bioware and bethesda are the mosty overrated developers on the planet, RPG's the casual action gamer.. bioware is a shell of their former selves. Cyberpunk won't be a 2016 title sadly.

Your wrong, 2k was never in the same league as the show, 2k7 had a tonne if major issues, the sim engione was broken, stats in franchise were a mess...AI was over aggressive and swung at almost anything near the strike zone leading to low pitch counts and 3-4 pitch innings all the time. Homeruns were over powered and way to frequent, fielding and baserunning bad a tonne of issues... just to name a few. That game was borked which is why they went into a totally new direction with 2k8 and 9, but they somehow managed to make it worse to the point the series became irrelevant. 2k baseball could not hold the shows jock strap.

If they don't exist offline that means they don't exist in the game itself. The show online has always been terrible and unplayable, either Sony doesn't pony up for proper infrastructure online or it's impossible to sync baseball games which I find hard to believe but we will never know since they have the exclusive rights. The game is amazing though, just have to settle for offline modes to appreciate it.
