I agree with this. This looks like a real step in the right direction. I would prefer to play a modded version of MVP Baseball 2005 over the piece of s*** they released last year.

 

My one concern is they talk about how they wanted to make every player as true to life as possible. Yet none of the players tattoos are in the game I have been told.

 

For example Brett Lawrie arms are covered in tats. In the game he has bare arms. Seems weird to leave this out.

Sucks to be you, Uncharted 4 looks better then an thing i've played on my top of the line PC. The show is worth a ps4 alone as is bloodborne. Why would sony fund and make a game and put it on PC?

The Show is a marvel of a product when you consider the lack of competition it has faced which obviously limits its actual need to improve. Look at Madden, 2k, and NHL. Since their competition has disappeared they've gone rapidly downhill.

Funny part is the baseball competition (2k) was better than the NBA competition (Live) and NHL competition (2k). Probably not better than the football competition (2k) though

It is way better , take off the nostalgia glasses. It's been better since MLB 07. The show already plays the most realistic representation of it's sports in gaming, how can they improve it that much? Baseball plays like baseball, the show accomplishes that, other then tweaks there is not much they can do. They are a victim of their own success, the game is already stellar. If they start adding gimmicks or changes for the sake of it things start going downhill ala EA. They are doing the right thing by perfecting and tweaking the best sports game going, no wholesale changes are needed. The show is on another level of realism then EA MVP was.

Yeah sure. They've always been a pretty sketch company though. No patches, DLC cash grabs, late releases, the Live debacle, etc.

 

That said I'll probably buy live over 2k next year. God that game is awful

First off fielding and base running were nightmare probably why they said fixed it lol. It had so many glitches and you must have been lucky because most games would just freeze with all my position players running constantly into the wall behind homeplate. I don't know anybody who liked the show last year. Everyone was in agreement the game has actually declined the past few years. Do you play on PS3? Maybe it played better on that system. I personally hated the game. That doesn't make me an idiot lol.

Live is expected to be good next year. Apparently they are adding a ton of features and the tweaks to gameplay over the course of the year have been promising. I think a lot of people will be taking a look at Live next year. Seems to get a lot more content updates as well. They atleast deserve a second chance if 2K is going to ignore their customer base.

Fantastic. I've always appreciated the ability to differentiate between players in Live. Mike Conley and Russell Westbrook can't be differentiated in 2k. And the dribbling is awful. And defense. god I hate that gaaaaaaaame

My biggest problem with NBA Live is they always seem to come out with all of these new features but the gameplay is always complete crap. I feel like 05 was a really good game and then it just got worse every year after that. 2010 was one of the worst games ever made.

I agree with this, I went with Xbox over PlayStation for the first time ever with Xbox one, fairly disappointed...and Halo 5 looks nice and all but is quite boring and pointless. As for baseball games, I haven't enjoyed a baseball vid since Baseball Stars on Nintendo about 50 or so years ago.

I do post on Operation Sports lol. Not often but nobody laughed me off the forum. Regulars often talked about how boring all the features were and the glitches were a conversation the length I played the game. I stopped playing after May so maybe they fixed it. I didn't enjoy it. Lots of lag. Lots of pickoffs. Everyone used Gamboa or whatever his name was and he was absolute filth. People would post videos on twitter of aiming to the dirt with his pitches and they were always perfect pitches at the bottom of the strikezone.

 

I don't see the point of arguing with you though. You're obviously just going to disagree with everything I say. I didn't enjoy the game at all. I wish I still had all the videos of my players being stuck running into walls and the game just stuck. It was awful.

I have absolutely no reason to lie. I bought a PS4 just to play a baseball video game. I would do anything to justify that purchase lol.

The game was far from stellar. This years game looks a lot better. Looking forward to giving it another shot. I like the new batting cameras for sure.
