Hendricks uptick was a direct result of his arm being in the pen , the jays just turned a upcoming bullpen arm into a question mark ? There's got to be more to this or this is a dumb move . I hope it doesn't mean they are spending 5 mil plus on bp

Oakland has said already they see him as a late inning reliever. Even as that I like the trade for Oakland much more. My biggest problem is there are a lot of FA SP out there that are similar to Jesse Chavez and shouldn't be that expensive. And now you are going to have to replace Hendriks in the pen..

 

Maybe payroll really is going down.

Well, if the rumors are true, NYY, LAD, and us are looking to trade an everyday outfielder to Cleveland for one of their pitchers. If said pitcher happens to be Carrasco and, somehow, it only costs Pillar++, that might be how it happens.
