He constantly talks about preserving the farm. Sorry but the team has a clear window to compete next season and they sign... Estrada and Happ? Are you kidding? Both those guys are useful, but it's time to take a chance for short term gain. Poor roster management IMO.

I don't get it. Payroll is going to sit in the 10-15 range in the league either way. Would you prefer someone who is likely to be successful in that context or someone who isn't?

"Showing interest" in Price would have meant making him an insulting offer. So maybe it's better they didn't. Our highest offer likely would have been around 6/120

Not even pursuing a player who you traded for, and helped you into the playoffs, or at least bringing your intent to the media, is an absolutely retarded idea.
