827 Verified Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 We really need to relearn the fundamentals of baseball, its embarassing how many 2 on 0 out situations we've had and we couldnt move the runners up even a single base. Add salt to injury, we had a runner on 3rd with no one out and we couldn't even put the ball in play until a grounder by Donaldson. This stings. Go Mets.
fireballW Verified Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 I'm not going to post after this but to say there is no way Revere doesn't put the ball in play with a 3-1 count. Same call on Navarro too. Not even close. Not even close.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Umps are chumps. Hope they cost Kc the WS. GO METS !! f*** this ********.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 jays won the division and pushed back from down 2-0 to win division series with Texas... it will feel better next week but this game is a little bitter. GO METS!!
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Ump changed the Navarro and Revere at bats. Umpball ruined an important game
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 f*** this s*** let's all book flights to Kansas and burn the Bitch to the Ground!!! Or do lunch!!! Lol
Auldphartt Verified Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 While the umps may have won this game for the Royals, it was the injury to Brett Cecil that really cost the Jays this series. Edit: Go Mets.

Have not seen 1 overhead view of that revere pitch.....looked like it was over the other batterbox line from behind angle...had their chances...Risp 0/12

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 10:30 in Calgary and my 7 year old boy just stopped crying and went to sleep. He was furious at the high and away calls on Navvy and especially Revere. That changed the count and the AB. Thought Gibby made a couple bad calls today but we had a chance to tie and win this many times. 0-11 with RISP doesn't get it done. Wasn't meant to be. At the end of the day JD is at the plate right where we want him and he doesn't get it done. It happens. This stings so fking hard but still a great season and we were one of 3 teams left standing. Proud of the Jays. Am officially now a Mets fan from here on in.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 I'm just happy I can go back to cheering against KC now. Good season for the Jays...proved me wrong many times this year.
nmrch Verified Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 The most devastating part is just thinking about how long it will take to go on another run like this. The Yankees and Red Sox will load up
comeon sense Verified Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 MLBTV ripping the called strike by the ump.
dice3434 Verified Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 While the umps may have won this game for the Royals, it was the injury to Brett Cecil that really cost the Jays this series. blame the umps all you want.....i'm more inclined to look at the 0-13 with RISP in 1 GAME. What a joke for a team that is supposed to feature offense. Gibbons should have squeeze bunted with no outs to ensure the tie but he doesn't do things like that. He lets his base runners sit there and rot. Horrible baseball. They did not deserve to win
Floortom Verified Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Im still schocked that we used Navarro as a pinch hitter in that situation? why? I go to Pennington or Smoak there 10 out of 10 times
Shogun89 Verified Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 May as well have let Pompey try for the Hatrick and steal home there.

comeon sense Verified Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 No balk call with runners on 2nd/3rd. Reynolds saw it.Verducci agreed. So its ok the umps not only miss strike calls, but balks as well? GO METS!. Sweep the Royals or make it as painful.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Im still schocked that we used Navarro as a pinch hitter in that situation? why? I go to Pennington or Smoak there 10 out of 10 times Smoak would've K'd guaranteed 100%. Pennington, no way. The logical one was Navarro, even though we all hate to see him in that spot. You would at least think that he could put the f***ing ball in play. What a choker.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 I don't blame Navarro or Revere, they had to swing because of the strike calls. If its 2-1 for Navarro, Davis has to throw a strike but nope Ump decided 6 inches off the plate is good enough

Goins can't f***ing bunt. And yes, similar story for most the year, inability to manufacture runs when needed. Guy on third with no outs and you can't f***ing score, what a f***ing joke. You don't deserve to be in the WS if you can't produce in a situation like that.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Horrible calls on Revere and Navarro. Not surprising though. MLB had an agenda and they got what they wanted in the end.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Pretty hard to put the ball in play when they're calling stuff way off the plate for strikes. There were some missed opportunities in the game for sure but those two ABs were sabotaged by the ump. Can't really blame Navarro and Revere especially Revere who had a great f***in' game.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Yeah Gibbons did a pretty good job managing. Navarro has a high contact rate. You really wish those 2 strike calls didn't impact the game the way they did but at the end of the day they still had lots of chances.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Board is f***ed! Probably too much traffic from all the pathetic losers wanting to take pleasure from our pain.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Those missed calls had nothing to do with MLB you clowns It had to do with HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE Because thats what we gave up on right, for no reason.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 If MLB wanted the Jays to lose do you think they would have find a way to Get Yankees or Rangers through. This was just the case of the ump at home, pandering to the crowd We would have been playing game 6 at home, if it wasn't for the dumb ass strategy of giving up home field advantage,
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
