Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Wow, so the team has no lefties for the rest of the series. Unless he's somehow back for tomorrow afternoon. Whatever is going on though, even if he is available, is he of the right mind to pitch?
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 I honestly think that Tepera won't get used period in any normal circumstances at all. unless it gets real deep into extra innings or if it becomes a complete disaster of a blowout, Gibby likely won't have enough confidence to use him. Really don't understand his selection still, I think we would have been better off with another bench piece if Tepera wasn't going to be used in any meaningful way anyway. Oh the irony

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Watched the game on PVR so I missed this whole thread. I really have only one thing to say anyways. HAROLD REYNOLDS MUST DIE.
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 WTF is going on in Loup's life. Lets just hope he doesn't return anytime soon

closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 So if it turns out that Gibbons knew at the beginning of the game that Loup is out tomorrow, how awful does bringing Lowe in instead of a position player look.

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Terrible thing to speculate on but... someone very important in Loup's life must be dying.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Terrible thing to speculate on but... someone very important in Loup's life must be dying. Let him be go and be there for them. he'll likely hurt the team less not being available. did the jays ever replace Cecil's spot after the injury

BTS Community Moderator Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 King and o2 should be blocked from responding to each other's posts.

closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Yes. That's how Tepera (sigh) entered the picture. And it is pretty obvious now that it should have been Hutch or Buehrle
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Somebody please make this happen. How about you?
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 And it is pretty obvious now that it should have been Hutch or Buehrle Hutch was really bad even in relief and Buehrle is done. Probably should have been Delabar but he's in the dog house. Edit: Or maybe Francis since he could double as a long man or loogy. Probably Francis really.
King Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 How about you? I have barely replied to o2s posts in the past couple weeks, but this one I couldn't pass up. Noneoftheless, I was referring to being able to ignore list him, so that I wouldn't have to read his posts at all.

It just seemed richly ironic that you would post that after just replying to him.

So many gas cans, so little time. Becoming really obvious that we need to beef up both our bullpen and starting rotation in the offseason. There has to at least be some depth available if guys go down.

Cause I Got RUM !!! Also who the f*** gives Theo Fleury a record deal.. Now that's just f***ed!!! Lol
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 My thoughts are with Loup. In the middle of what should be the best time of his career and one of the best experiences of his life, he has to deal with presumably someone close to him dying.

In the middle of what should be the best time of his career and one of the best experiences of his life, he has to deal with presumably someone close to him dying. Of course everyone is different but if anyone in my life was dying, they would be saying "Go play in the playoffs, your team needs you!" Back to the game. I missed most of it, but for the first time all season I was so confident we would see good Dickey today, and he had to go and do that to me.

Didn't your momma tell you that Dickey's would break your heart?
Treeplant Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 If the Jays knew there was a chance Loup wouldn't be available again this series (again, presumably has to be a family illness or something of the sort), why have him on the roster? That's a huge risk and it may have cost us a shot at coming back this game.
cusstown Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Are people seriously blaming Gibbons for this loss? Good lord.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Are people seriously blaming Gibbons for this loss? Good lord. Burning four top relievers up 7 in the late goings yesterday? Bringing in Lowe down 10 today when we have a game tomorrow to continue our season? You're goddamn right they're blaming Gibby.

Gibby didn't give up 5 runs in the first two innings nor did he only score 2 runs for us all game. His moves were s*** and using Lowe was a dumb move that hurts us tomorrow but Gibby isn't why we lost today.
