CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 i have to tip my hat off to you guys watching this; after watching our game, i couldn't stand watching another baseball game; i'm not as sick as after game 2 of the texas series but pretty darn close... To me, today's game was even worse than game 2 vs Texas. Anyways, go Cubs!!
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Should be a good one tonight. #Cespedesfortherestofus
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Syndergaard just straight up owned Schwarbeast there.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Holy f*** Murphy! Arrieta getting crushed early.
37stieb Verified Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Jake Arrieta is human after all
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Step aside Joe DiMaggio, there's a new Mr. October in New York, and his name is...Daniel Murphy?
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 He is becoming the Freese of this year.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Arrieta is back to being Baltimore O's Arrieta.
37stieb Verified Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Step aside Joe DiMaggio, there's a new Mr. October in New York, and his name is...Daniel Murphy? He hit a pretty good curve on the inside half.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Granderson is definitely my favorite Met. Loved him when he was with the Yankees too. He's been great this postseason.
spats Verified Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Boy it's hard to watch Thor and D'Arnaud without thinking what might have been.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Watching Thor pitch is so heart wrenching . Oh what could have been..
baubau Verified Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Boy it's hard to watch Thor and D'Arnaud without thinking what might have been. d'A not so much. We gave up a better boi: Gomes. :'(
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Step aside Joe DiMaggio, there's a new Mr. October in New York, and his name is...Daniel Murphy? It's actually just Jesus taking over his body. I'm sure he'll tell you that.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 (edited) I like the Mets in 5 or 6. The Cubs never faced the new improved Mets. Edited October 19, 2015 by comeon sense

Oh what could have been.. Not really. We've traded alot of players over the years... If we sat and cried about all the players we traded away, then we might as well quit watching the sport altogether. All 30 teams have players they might regret trading, but you can't sit and dream of the past. Also remember that without trading Synd and dArnaud, we probably wouldn't be in the playoffs right now.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 I won't call him Thor. But Syndergod sounds appropriate.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Not sure why they're pulling Synd so early...
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 The Mets have just enough offense to probably win the World Series. That pitching staff is unfair.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 The Mets have just enough offense to probably win the World Series. That pitching staff is unfair. If they don't win this year, they'll likely have many more chances over the next 5 years. That pitching staff is young and elite.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 If they don't win this year, they'll likely have many more chances over the next 5 years. That pitching staff is young and elite. On paper sure, though their best chance is winning it this year. They've gotten this far and to do it again over the next couple of years won't be easy. You never know what could happen to some of their pitchers; Cespedes and Murphy are gone likely, injuries etc. Plus as we saw in the ALDS and NLDS, any team could make it through in a 5 game series. Also, consider Washington likely will be a better team if they make some big offseason moves. On paper, the Mets should be the best in the NL East, though its so difficult to make the postseason every year, let alone get through the DS. Everyone is healthy now, so this is the year. They might not have another golden opportunity like they do now. Go Mets!

Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Of course Syndergaard beats Arrieta.
mtljaysfan Verified Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 It made me sick watching Syndergaad pitching tonight.
