Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 On paper sure, though their best chance is winning it this year. They've gotten this far and to do it again over the next couple of years won't be easy. You never know what could happen to some of their pitchers; Cespedes and Murphy are gone likely, injuries etc. Plus as we saw in the ALDS and NLDS, any team could make it through in a 5 game series. Also, consider Washington likely will be a better team if they make some big offseason moves. On paper, the Mets should be the best in the NL East, though its so difficult to make the postseason every year, let alone get through the DS. Everyone is healthy now, so this is the year. They might not have another golden opportunity like they do now. Go Mets! No, that would be the Nats.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Looks like the Baseball gods ordered a couple of sweeps.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Apparently the goat that "cursed" the Cubs was named Murphy.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 No, that would be the Nats. Moving forward? Nats likely won't have Jordan Zimmermann and Ian Desmond next season; Gio has been inconsistent the past two seasons; their lineup has huge question marks after Harper. Obviously if they make some key moves this offseason, then that could change.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 After a the intriguing possibilities that existed when the post season began, I'm guessing a Mets Royals WS would be a pretty huge disappointment for the TV people

That's a VERY interesting team.

Of course if Stras returns to 200+ innings they'll still have maybe the best 1-2 in baseball, but Mets for me too.

In fact either us or KC vs Mets would be a very interesting series for real.baseball fans. Just no Cubs Dodgers or Yankees would be a drop in interest for the casual TV sports audience.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Still hoping the Cubs can bounce back Oh and Jays too. LOL.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Degrom Harvey Syndergaard Is so damn fapworthy for less than 2M total for all 3
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Degrom Harvey Syndergaard Is so damn fapworthy for less than 2M total for all 3 Matz might be good too.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Christopher Russo and Eric Byrnes are GOING AT IT on high heat right now haha.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Christopher Russo and Eric Byrnes are GOING AT IT on high heat right now haha. What about?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 What about? About the Cubs "not having to face adversity" and not being "ready" for the playoffs. Russo was complaining about Joe Maddon's antics and Byrnes was defending the Cubs. Both were yelling at each other max volume. Great television

Great television I hate Russo ever since he went off on Votto being selfish and Taking more walks and not hitting more homeruns.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Matz might be good too. Don't forget the injured Zack Wheeler, who could also be very good.
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Soler pulled a Bautista and was saved by the vines.
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Schwarber looking like Colabello out there.
candymartinez Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Baseball playoffs are nuts. Both underdogs look like they are going to advance.
candymartinez Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 At least we're not in the Cubs position. Must be so damn deflating for them.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Man, I was really expecting a Jays/Cubs world series.
Shogun89 Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 So much for the Back to the Future movie prophecy.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Mets add some hitting they have a potential dynasty with that pitching staff. They will probably win the World Series. I don't see the Royals being a problem for them.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 DeGrom, Syndergaard, Harvey, Matz, Wheeler. Damn, the Mets are going to be a dynasty if those dudes stay healthy.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 There are no dynasties in baseball anymore.
