BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Still going with my prediction: Jays in five.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Nothing like watching a home game and the f***ing announcers cheering for Texas.... f*** YOU
fapaholic Verified Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 So Harold did they plan those two hbp that both scored??
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 I never want to see Smoaks stupid face again.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Jesus, that's a f***ing tough loss. Cole Hamels can put them away on his own now.
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Maybe next time you have a chance to win HFA you take it................ They had it for this series.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Nothing went right, that's for sure.
Followthelight Verified Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Worst broadcast crew I have heard....
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Horseshit f***ed over by mlb. Not even close with the done open. WTF are you even talking about.
Soft Hands Verified Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 crap game but we still only lost by two
el duque Verified Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Not that this team and the manager did not face pitchers with slow braking balls dominating them before. Despite Price not being at his best today the team needs to have a better plan for the slow balls.
Followthelight Verified Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 They had it for this series. YEah but we would be playing a different team and not their ace.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Jesus, that's a f***ing tough loss. Cole Hamels can put them away on his own now. Does that make you happy?
37stieb Verified Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 We're going to need to buy the man in white a ticket for game 2. Slim pickings from Hamels
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Worst broadcast crew I have heard.... They were ok... I prefer a little homerism though
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Need Stroman to be huge. That's what its going to come down too. Have a feeling if Bautista is playing tomorrow it will be as the DH.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Terrible. -Lose at home - check -Ace gets lit up - check -2 best players injured - check (although they're back tomorrow hopefully, but probably still injured) -Get fked over by US TV start time and then have to listen to said US TV broadcast - check
BlueJays Verified Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 0-6 for Price in the postseason. That's an ugly one
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Does that make you happy? Nope. Watching Yovanni Gallardo shitball his way to a playoff win shouldn't make anybody happy.
abola2121 Verified Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Need Stroman to be huge. That's what its going to come down too. Have a feeling if Bautista is playing tomorrow it will be as the DH. Stroman just needs to be Stroman, and not s*** the bed like Price.
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 2 HBP is the difference in this game.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Maybe next time you have a chance to win HFA you take it................ Or don't give your starters 11 days in between starts. I think the Jays win tomorrow, but I don't trust games 3, 4, and 5. Say what you want about Price's playoff numbers, flukey or not, but he can't be counted on to go all Mad Bum for us. Jays need Stroman and one of Dickey/Estrada to carry us.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 It's a best out of 5 so lets put this one behind and win the next three, we do have the best team in the MLB. Nothing went our way today, it will be different tomorrow. Lets keep a positive attitude. I don't blame Price, I blame it on the 11 days rest.
EMK19 Verified Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Overall we didn't really deserve to win that one... we didn't lose it due to silly plays per se (maybe except for Goins being crossed up in that pickoff play for the first run.. never liked those 2nd base pickoff plays) so I'm not as angry about it. Texas played well and deserved to win on this day. Hopefully JD and Bats are back in the lineup all well and fine tm. At least the last three times we lost game one in a series, we've come back to win in game 2 (1991 ALCS, 1992 ALCS, 1992 WS). I know this is only a five game series and not 7, but the series is not done just because of this one loss. Hopefully Stro keeps those Rangers bats in the park tomorrow with his grounders and our batters can do their thing vs. Hamels. It's a small sample but we've done well in that small sample that we've faced him, so no need to run scared of the guy.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Is there actually anything tangible suggesting that that a long layoff has a negative impact on a pitcher's performance?
