It's the last inning

Our guys are winning

Dav(id)'s still got a smoker, a strike and you got no doubt... you're out!

WHAT DA YA WANT ???????

LET'S PLAY BALL!!!!

I always thought that should have been Dave throw's a slider...., but hey, that's the way it went.

The best pitcher in Jays history is Roy Halladay. Dave Stieb is second on that list, and maybe only because he got hurt and lost two seasons to injury. Regardless, #37 is still my favorite Jays pitcher of All Time, and outside of Roger Clemens, there wasn't better pitcher in the 1980's.

LONG LIVE DAVE STIEB!

I'm so nervous/excited my palms are sweating and I might throw up. This is the most important game of our adult lives!

Damn right, I feel the same way.

I have a meeting between now and the game. I might not retain a single piece of information.

My staff and I are taking the afternoon off today and tomorrow and working a full day on Saturday.

Even with the injuries, Stieb gave the Jays 800 more innings than Roy. Those seasons Roy gave the Phillies may help his HOF candidacy but they condemn him to no 2 status amongst Jays pitcher in my eyes.

I mean, is anyone who has a real job doing any actual work as of 3:00?

I punched out work early. Not feeling well. :)

Lol. I think we all called in sick today.

does anyone have a stream for the pregame on SNO?

I got really sick when a memo came out that we were not allowed to stream the game as it will disrupt productivity.

Kit Kat, I hear what you're saying, in that it's closer than most people realize. I read something somewhere that said that Dave Stieb had the best .EQA 4 straight years in the AL from 1982 to 1985. In other words, he was basically the best pitcher in the AL for 4 straight years. A lot of that came from his superhuman IP totals which no modern pitcher approaches these days. In 1982, Dave Stieb threw 288.1 innings. This year the league leader was Clayton Kershaw who threw 232.2 innings. That's a difference of 55 innings. Basically, that's works out to a difference of 8 starts. 8 starts!! We're almost talking two different games here.
