Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 At least he makes contact. Can't say the same about Collins. Collins hits like he needs contacts
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 Nah good hitters can make a lot of contact like that Bo Bichette gets the barrel on a lot of garbo pitches and hits little bloop singles DJ Lemaywho does it Idk how DJ Laymanhoo manages to hit pitches in on the hands to opposite field every time, but he does. Dude hits like 99% of everything oppo
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 In that first single, is Moreno getting shifted like a lefty pull hitter? What is going on there?
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 All groundballs. What a bust
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2022 Author Posted April 15, 2022 All groundballs. What a bust He'd be 0 for 3 in the majors on those grounders
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 He'd be 0 for 3 in the majors on those grounders Nah, his aim is true.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2022 Author Posted April 15, 2022 Tiedemann back on the mound today for Dunedin
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Tiedemann back on the mound today for Dunedin Kloff and Francis too.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2022 Author Posted April 15, 2022 Kloff and Francis too. The shine is really fading on Kloff. Still young, but man he's been bad for quite a stretch.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 The shine is really fading on Kloff. Still young, but man he's been bad for quite a stretch. Maybe we should have brought him to the training centre when COVID hit....instead he went and played in a men's league or something.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Orelvis homers again in the 1st inning of the 2nd game
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2022 Author Posted April 15, 2022 Orelvis will replace Bo when he leaves as a FA.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Orelvis will replace Bo when he leaves as a FA. Some evaluators have Orelvis as a 3B, as he continues to fill out (and get even stronger). Devers is an optimistic but not unreasonable comp.

InsideThePark Verified Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Is it raining in Dunedin? The game was delayed and despite the fantastic results so far Tiedemann has been unbelievably wild, perhaps because of the conditions. If the gameday locations are accurate I'd guess only about 25% of pitches have been in the zone with a lot of pitches missing by a ton. Good sign for his stuff given some of the locations of these swinging strikes. Also could be because A ball hitters are a lot less selective. He's through 4 innings of 1 hit 0 run baseball with 6 K's and 4 walks
InsideThePark Verified Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Tiedemann finished with 5 IP, 2 hits, 4 walks, 8 K's, and 0 runs
InsideThePark Verified Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Hayden Juenger 2 IP hitless with 4 K's. Jays 2021 draft class striking out an insane number of batters early
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2022 Author Posted April 16, 2022 Hayden Juenger 2 IP hitless with 4 K's. Jays 2021 draft class striking out an insane number of batters early Sound like arms that we could use in our pen now.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Tiedemann finished with 5 IP, 2 hits, 4 walks, 8 K's, and 0 runs Hit 98.2 MPH and averaged 96.1 MPH on his fastball
InsideThePark Verified Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Sound like arms that we could use in our pen now. IIRC when we drafted him and Chad Dallas the reports were they could move very quickly if we decided to use them out of the pen. They're using Dallas as a starter so I wouldn't expect him yet, but Juenger could definitely be a factor as soon as July.
Ray Verified Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Hit 98.2 MPH and averaged 96.1 MPH on his fastball He also barely threw his slider, which is far and away his best secondary. Seems like he was primarily working on his changeup. And he still dominated barring the walks.
