Alcohol induced advice is always the best kind of advice. Much appreciated!

Wow... bold from a newb in a 12 team keeper and the forum, whom knows f*** all about me.

Why?

I concur!

Wow what a dick! Well that’s the last time you’ll ever be getting my expert fantasy advice in the official fantasy baseball advice thread. You’re also burning a bridge with Spanky. The two of us are currently battling it out for the NL Central crown in one of the most prestigious fantasy baseball leagues in the entire world. Good luck without us Noob!

You’re a piece of s***.

Lol please. If anyone is a PoS in this situation it’s the actual violent criminal in Robinson. If the D-Bags had any integrity at all they’d release him.

Williams is the real brains behind the team. You’re just his puppet.

Two Jays in Longenhagens daily prospect update:

Sem Robberse:

The most fun prospects are the ones heading in the right direction, with plenty to do between here and the big leagues. That describes Robberse, who was signed out of the Netherlands during the 2018 international signing period. At the time, it was a bet on athleticism: Robberse is a very agile and fluid athlete but his fastball peaked in the mid-80s as an amateur.

Fast forward a few years, and the Dutchman is now hitting the mid-90s and sitting 91-94 mph. As you’d expect based on the athleticism, he has a clean delivery, and he’s also shown impressive pitchability for a 19-year-old. For those who really like to dive deep, Robberse has made starts in Low-A Southeast, which has Trackman data from some of his outings. You can grind through that here, but the TLDR is that he has above average spin for his velo band and misses bats with both breaking pitches. It’s also worth mentioning that his pedestrian-looking walk rate was actually one of the top marks in his league, where the robots are handing out free passes by the dozen.

Robberse’s outing on Wednesday was a tale of two parts, which is not uncommon for pitchers his age. In the first three innings, he was the best version of himself: he got ahead consistently, moved his fastball to both sides of the plate, back-doored his two-plane slider, elevated for whiffs, and lured hitters out of the zone with his curve. The wheels came off in the fourth, though, as three frustrating errors and a series of hits seemed to put the teenager off of his game. By the end of his outing, he’d lost velocity, he was consistently missing armside with the fastball, and he had to be removed before the end of the frame.

Ultimately, there’s plenty to like here. He’s progressed through the Jays system at a blistering pace and, in bursts, he flashes a lot of starter traits. We’ll see if more consistency, and perhaps a bit more arm strength, comes with age.

Hayden Juenger:

Toronto’s sixth-round pick, Juenger is a three-pitch reliever. He works with a low-three quarters arm slot and it seemed like righties in particular were having trouble picking up the ball. In my look earlier this week, he consistently hit 94 mph throughout his two innings of work, and was particularly effective attacking the gloveside corner against righties. Not surprisingly given the slot, his slider is a predominantly horizontal sweeper, and the pitch is murder when he starts it on the plate and runs it away from right-handed hitters with a little late tilt. While he throws strikes, he’s prone to missing badly, and will need to button up that issue as he climbs Toronto’s ladder.

Lol. Just busting your balls. I was enjoying a late night beverage at the time myself and was probably just projecting on you. My apologies.

Sorry, my man. I was being facetious. Anyone who would have Tom Henke as his avatar is A-OK in my books. Would like to repair this bridge to get more advice in the future from two of the top dawgs in fantasy baseball.

Now you are grossly exaggerating.

It’s been awhile since my brief albeit championship-winning reign in LOD but forgive me if I’m mistaken but William seems like an heir apparent to North in that he’s great at fantasy by constantly spamming out objectively very favorable trades and improves the team if even 5% get accepted.

How accurate on a scale of 1-10 is that?

Rodriguez went 5-for-8 with a homer for Double-A Arkansas in Thursday's doubleheader against Frisco.

Analysis

Since returning from a strong showing at the Olympics, Rodriguez has gone 8-for-19 (.421) across five games. With a composite line of .323/.414/.565 across 47 total games in High-A and Double-A this year, the 20-year-old Dominican has cemented himself as one of the top prospects -- if not the single top prospect (now that Wander Franco is in the big leagues) -- in baseball, and as long as he stays healthy, he's a near lock to make his debut with the Mariners next season.

Austin Martin sucks. Has less power than a little leaguer.

Well the assumption his .425 on base percentage won't translate to the majors without power. I guess at some point pitchers will just throw it down the middle.

Kind of a depressing outcome of the number 5 overall pick. Boston's top 5 pick Marcelo Mayer is already in the top 10 according to the MLB prospect list.

Boston - 1 down year , Sale back in incredible pennant race with Yankees 1 year later. Obtain franchise icon, game changing prospect Marcelo Mayer with down year.

Toronto - 3 down years, obtain Austin Martin after worst, turn Austin Martin into 1.5 years of non-elite starting pitcher. Not in exciting Pennant race, developed a 78-82 win team that blows lots of games.

Martin was a Top 20 prospect. There’s usually a recent draft bias

I think big ole Fitz Stadler might be a thing.

The guy has been incredible after his first few AA appearances this season. He's in AAA now and off to a great start there.

Struck out the side in his inning today.

What?

2.07 ERA since May 16th over two levels with 52 Ks in 34.2 innings.

Walks are still a touch high, but he's dominating with swing and miss stuff.

I'm talking strictly about the BB/9 that's north of 6, that does not play, bro.

We'll see I guess.

His career BB/9 is 3.9, much better. And he hasn't walked a guy in his last 6 outings. The spike in walks earlier this year came with a huge spike in Ks. Lately the walks are down but the Ks are still there, which is why I posted that maybe he's a guy to watch.

He certainly hasn't been "s***" though.

I'm looking forward to seeing if he can keep it up.

I believe he could be. Needs to settle down and get locked in. Lots of potential imo

Any idea what his stuff is like?
