I don't care what his excuse is, assaulting police officers is a serious charge so the U.S. needs to do the right thing and deport him back to the Bahamas. You guys are too soft.

You either didn't read the article or you're J. Lough.

Extenuating circumstances. Also, I doubt the officer handled / de-escalated the situation they way they are supposed to.

What are the extenuating circumstances? That he suffers from such debilitating mental illness that it makes him violent? Lol I'm sorry but that doesn't make it any better. I still say deport him.

And why do you doubt the officer's account? Robinson already plead guilty to the charge and it's not like he's a credible witness. He was found deliriously wandering the Arizona desert. He may not even remember the encounter.

Guy legit thought the CIA and FBI were after him and he was going off grid in the desert alone (probably not end well). Tossed his phone and keys, was hearing voices, etc. Id say most of the time that isnt even charged, especially since it was just a cut lip

LOL how does this help his cause for granting him a visa? He sounds insane. Deport him.

Clearly you didn't read, let us know when you have caught back up to reality ;)

A diagnosis and medication can go a long way man. Doesn't mean you separate the guy's family over an isolated incident.

The highway patrol officer shouldn't have been trying to put him in back of the car anyway. Isn't highway patrol where they stick cops that aren't good enough to be actual police officers? Probably had zero training for a situation like this.

I think I'm very well in tune with reality my friend.

It's Robinson (by his own admission) and all of his supporters who think psychotic and violent criminals should be granted U.S. visas who need to get caught back up to reality.

Please enlighten me then. I've read the article but I'm apparently missing something. Which part am I not paying close enough attention to? Because the way I read it, it seems like a pretty cut and dry deportation and denial of future visa case to me.

So ruin the guys career that he's spent probably his whole life on and tear him away from his family. All because he busted up some guys lip that was trying to shove him in back of a car.

Quite simply, you’re a heartless bastard.

We really need to teach empathy in schools. So many people are lacking in it.

Imagine working for the appropriate agency that handles visa applications and you come across this Robinson fellow's application where he and his lawyer admit the following:

-drug user, to the point it induces psychosis and breaks from reality

-suffers from "serious" mental issues (to the point where he abandoned his car in the desert and actually believed that the CIA was trying to kill him)

-plead guilty to felony assault of a police officer

I'd be reaching for that red DENIED stamp as fast as I could lol. There are easily thousands of more deserving applicants than him. Thank god you guys aren't in charge of this stuff. Goodness.

Having an MLB organization vouch for you and swear that you are one of the 50 most talented baseball prospects in the world would help a lot.

Let's be honest, the USA only cares if the people they issue visas to can participate in the economy in a beneficial way. Hard to argue that an elite baseball prospect doesn't have huge economic upside.

Merryweather chucked a fairly clean inning last night, 1 IP - 1BB - 1 K

Him and Pearson coming up is definitely just what we need.

If they're both fully healthy, that would shorten the game quite nicely. That would leave only the 7th inning that Charlie could mess up ... maybe.

Pearson, Merryweather & Romano all tossing 100+ in that BP is lethal. Cimber and Richards used in between them on different days gives a different look as well.

Mayza has been good as well.

Adding those 2 just really trims the fat. Hand can be DFA'd

Trent Palmer just threw a 7 inning no hitter for the Dunedin Blue Jays.

7IP, 0R/ER, 3BB, 10K, 92 pitches

That’s great to see. I really liked that pick coming out of the draft last year. Took a while for him to get adjusted, but he’s been throwing well since then. Filthy stuff, but still needs to work on getting those walks down.

Sinker: 93-95 mph, which he was maintaining deep into the game

Slider: 81-84

Curveball: 73-75

Change: 78-80

Looks like he primarily threw sinker/slider though.
