Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 4 top 100 prospects I wouldn't call Biggio top 100.
Maahfaace Verified Member Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 I wouldn't call Biggio top 100. If he continues to put up a 190 wRC+ in AA he will sneak onto a few lists.

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 would be meteoric for biggio to crack the mid season 100.... he wasn't even on many blue jays top 30 lists at the start of the season

Do tell? 1 guy A guy that was ranked #40 by baseball america, #54 by baseball prospectus, #52 by MLB at the start of the season A defense first 19 yr old catcher aggressively placed in AA might hit top 25 if the bat heats up some.... he's had the BABIP bug a bit so far

43211234 Verified Member Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 Fangraphs finally published the White Sox prospects ranking, finishing all 30 teams. Eloy Jimenez got a 30 present hit tool. That just seems ridiculous.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2018 Author Posted May 30, 2018 DSL season starts for the Jays farm team on Saturday. Any names on that roster we should be intrigued about?
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 DSL season starts for the Jays farm team on Saturday. Any names on that roster we should be intrigued about? None that I am aware of, but it's hard to get a read on anyone down there. Basically any international signee from the last 2 years will be there if they haven't been moved stateside yet. Pardinho is stateside already, but the other 4 from the top 50 ranked international prospects from the 2017 signing period are: shortstop Miguel Hiraldo (No. 22 - DR), right-hander Alejandro Melean (No. 32 - Venezuela), shortstop Leonardo Jimenez (No. 36 - Panama) and outfielder Alberto Rodriguez (No. 38-DR). The following non-ranked prospects were all signed out of Venezuela: SS, Jose Rivas C, Geyber Jimenez OF, Jhon Solarte RHP, Ronald Govea RHP, Alexis Carmona RHP, Williams Morerno LHP, Erick Teran RHP, Miguel Olivo RHP, Luis Pena
metafour Verified Member Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 Hiraldo, Melean, and Jimenez are all stateside as well. Albert Rodriguez may be as well but I'm not sure on that one.
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 Bo now has the best BB% of his career, 14 steals, and he has been getting solid reports about his D at SS. Seems like he might have slimmed down or otherwise traded some of his bulk/power for general athleticism. Probably a good thing. Man, if he becomes an actual SS in the majors who can add value on the bases... that would be something. We've all read the Nomar Garciaparra comps this year I'm guessing.

Maximo Castillo 5IP 1 ER 1BB 9K's on just 65 pitches... Vlad finishes 0-4, Bo finishes 1-4 run scored and SB(15), Biggio 1-4 with the 2 run jack, assuming they close this out. BTS Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 Akil Baddoo has an OBP 60 points higher than his SLG, and a wRC+ of ~120. He's weird.
