Kevin Smith 4-5 (HR, 3 RBI)

Danny Jansen 2-5 (HR, 2B, 5 RBI)

So Jansen's bat is looking like it'll play anywhere, but man if he can be a decent catcher, he's got a shot at being worth 3-4 WAR per year right?

Defensively he's average, but should get better with more reps. Offensively, he walks more than he strikes out and has a good contact rate. His power should develop into a 15-20 HR type. With catchers the hitting side usually develops a bit later than other positional players. Getting his eyes checked and now wearing prescription glasses did wonders. He'll be up here late April/early May next year with Vladdy. We're going to pay Martin $20M next year to tutor him.

Couldn't ask for a better tutor. Best defensive catcher in the game 3 years ago but as Ser Davos says nothing f***s you more than time

Hiraldo was up in Dunedin for extended spring training just a few weeks ago, and apparently looking real good according to Jason Woodell who saw him. I have absolutely no idea why he was sent down to start the DSL season. When they bring a guy stateside, its because they're sending him to Rookie ball in the GCL or Bluefield or Vancouver. I don't think I've ever seen them bring a top signing stateside, and then sent him back down to go play in the DSL. I'd imagine he's back up as soon as the GCL season starts, but this is still odd.

Small sample size, but Hiraldo’s bat is as advertised so far.

9 ks in 7 games though but small sample lol.

This is why he should be less fat.

If top 3 picks sign, what’s updated too 10 prospect list look like?

I'd imagine Kloffenstein and Groshons are both Top 10 and Conine probably slots in between 10-15. A guy like Addison Barger might be in the back end of the Top 30.

Our farm system is looking really good right now after the draft.

I forgot about Pannone who could slot in the back end of the top 20, he should be back from his suspension soon

Vlad's injury goes from precautionary. To I think its fine just need a couple days... next were going to place him on the DL. Now hes going to see a specialist. This f***ing team man.

That's pretty standard for this team. In a few weeks we should be hearing his leg needs to be amputated.

Team needs a dash of Adam Lind's Mom

Good things rarely happen to us.

Exactly. I have tempered my expectations for Vlad a lot.... bad knees at 19?? Sorry, it's the blue jays, no superstar for us.

An unknown Yankee prospect will have the career we expected for Vlad, he will be fun, he will bring them joy,

Some one we don't know from the Yankees === .335 .420 .610 career and bringing joy to all the yankee boys and girls.

Vlad Guerrero Jr, an old man, with bad knees at 19 -- to bad, Jesus Montero floor, Nick Johnson ceiling... Blue Jays fans don't get anything nice ever.

Late June - Knee Surgery - out one year.

June 2019 - cleared to run

September 2019 sent to Arizona fall league struggles....

2020 -- back in aa - just not the same .260 17 75 season... doesn't make it to aaa

2021 -- in Buffalo -- has Rowdy Tellez like bad year

2022 -- repeats Buffalo, somewhat better, .280 22 80 season

2023 -- makes Blue Jays at age 24 -- struggles

2024 -- Hot start, injured, only plays 45 games

2025 -- 140 games struggles, bad D, bad baserunning, fat, negative WAR.

2026 traded to Oakland Athletics, has a few OK years, but not that great.

2025 (26) - Blue Jays .244 27 88 (sadly he's Kendry Moralles)

2026 (27) - Oakland ..300 29 79 (showing some of the old magic)

holy overreactions

injuries are part of sports, happens to everyone (Ripken Jr excepted)

Yes, but fat 19 year old with bad knees seeing specialist is not good.

Bo Bichette jams finger out for 5 days, comes back in 6 days - that's "injuries happen"

Vlad Guerrero - Sore leg, no big deal, out for 2 games, on dl but should be fine, going to see specialist -- all in 4 day period... that's not just injuries happen, that's the first sign of a fat man who is going to have problems.

And once you see specialist, there is no way you play for atleast 1 month... so he probably doesn't get 100 games this year, if he comes back at all.

Reliever in the lower minors so no

Gurriel is the more blatant exclusion. Come on, King.

You’re jumping the gun just a weeee bit.

Bichette was a HR shy of the cycle today.

Kevin Smith's supposed to be a legit SS defensively so if his bat is for real, then man time to get excited.
