Justin Dillon is toying with AAA since his call-up from A+. Does he have major league stuff or he's AAAA fodder? Also, instead of starting Martin at SS and 3B they should give Jason Leblebijian a shot. Good pop and half decent walk rate.

Has anyone taken notice of what Jose Albertos has done so far this season? It's exceptionally terrible:

17 K, 32 BB, 13 IP.

What. The. f***.

29 of the 32 BB were competitive though so you can't glean to much from it.

As an Albertos owner I have taken notice.

The Jays are in a really good spot in terms of infielders in the minors. Gives them the ability to flip some of them down the road for other needs.

Kevin Smith deserves the promotion and move in front of Warmoth on the depth chart. Warmoth has been extremely disappointing thus far. A college player with average tools across the board but was deemed as a ''safe pick'' in the first round.

Was disappointed in the pick the second I heard that. Would have much preferred a higher risk, high ceiling pick in that slot.

Let's hope Shapiro didn't go to the JP Ricciardi school of draft picking.

He did good in Vancouver last year but has been bad this year for a first-rounder.

Hope he doesn't become the positional version of 'Dec McGuire' pick.

It's still early and we're 40+ games in, give it time.

Logan Warmoth's "lack of tools" is highly over-exaggerated. He was showing real offensive upside with a quick bat and major line-drive ability with a big spike in power in his draft year. He's been unable to hit for power for any sustained period of time this season, so obviously there is something wrong that will either be corrected, or it wont and he'll fail. s*** happens. It hasn't been very pretty for most of the other top college bats that went before him either (ie: Pavin Smith, Adam Haseley) either.

People who saw him multiple times had really good things to say about him. I've said it before, but its obvious that there was a strong "white college shortstop" stigma that was thrown on him (which is being repeated here right now) that wasn't being reported by people actually scouting him. He wasn't a "no tools" player, just because a guy doesn't have 40 HR power or Billy Hamilton's legs it doesn't mean that he's a "brings his lunch-pail and hardhat to work every day" white boy either. Good looking players flop all the time, it happens in this sport.

Writing off a 22-year-old in his first full season in pro-ball is dumb. Just because you don't go on a tear in the minors, doesn't mean you're done as a prospect. Not everyone can be Bo and Vlad.

To be fair I didn't actually trash Warmoth. I just said hes been rather disappointing and feel Kevin Smith deserves to move past him in the depth chart. Kevin Smith should have been in Dunedin several weeks ago. I found the idea of him being blocked by an under performing player a little annoying when Kevin Smith himself looks like he as good of chance to be quite good.

There's room for both of them in Dunedin. Smith has been playing 3b as well as SS, and could easily play 2nd too. Alternating Warmoth and Smith at SS/2b/3b should be easy to accomplish.

Warmoth is on the DL.

Heres hoping this is what they end up doing.
