Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 This Naswell Paulino kid is roasting the DSL. No idea what his stuff is like, but he was one of our more expensive signings in last year's capped class. He just turned 17 three months ago too. Good, good... *rubs hands together*

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Any reason we don't see Pentecost up to AA yet. He as been very good in A+. In addition to the other answers here I thought I read something about protecting him from the Rule 5.
bendera3 Verified Member Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 In addition to the other answers here I thought I read something about protecting him from the Rule 5. There are minor league portions where all you have to do is move them up a level to keep them but I think if they are in AA or above they must be on the major league roster. Right?
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Luis Robert came back today.... 1 PA and pulled.... knee injury could be worse than letting on
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 How much is Pentecost actually catching Pentecost' catcher glove funeral very soon.
Clutchlings Verified Member Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 In the long run, probably profiles better as a back of the bullpen guy. This is his first full season, so they will take it easy with him. New Hampshire next year.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2017 Author Posted July 20, 2017 Pentecost, likely. Pentecost is a back of the bullpen guy? Who knew.
JuniorFelix Verified Member Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Pentecost is a back of the bullpen guy? Who knew. Baseball is weird.

Slade Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Borucki and Robson promoted to AA. Andrew Case up to AAA.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Funny if all of their Dads were at the game. Crowds in the FSL are like 200 people and you'd have 2 HOF and another great player in the stands.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 What is Cavan's upside? Utility IF? It would be cool if all three came up and became MLB players at the same time, but Biggio seems like a longshot.

But he has upside to be an OBP guy with above average speed and good defense. He's cleaned up his swing a lot since being drafted.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Can he even play SS? I thought he was 2B only.

baseballsss Verified Member Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 f*** this pic just reminds me of Marcum, Mcgowan, Romero and Morrow. THE FUTURE That definetly worked out.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 f*** this pic just reminds me of Marcum, Mcgowan, Romero and Morrow. THE FUTURE That definetly worked out. Luckily all of these guys have a very big dissimilarity between the ones that you mentioned.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2017 Author Posted July 20, 2017 f*** this pic just reminds me of Marcum, Mcgowan, Romero and Morrow. THE FUTURE That definetly worked out. All four of them made it to the majors and had varying levels of success. Injuries were their biggest enemies, not their talent level.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 All four of them made it to the majors and had varying levels of success. Injuries were their biggest enemies, not their talent level. Plus, they were pitchers.
baseballsss Verified Member Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 All four of them made it to the majors and had varying levels of success. Injuries were their biggest enemies, not their talent level. It wasn't about their position or anything. Sportsnet is going to come out with a lovely episode one day on these three and their going to get are hopes up so high and bam. I'm just playin around. ha
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Also saying that Marcum, McGowan, Romero and Morrow were the future is egregious. McGowan was long dead by the time Morrow was in the picture, and when the latter emerged as a great SP for us Marcum was traded for Lawrie.
Caper Verified Member Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 Ol' Tim Tebow doin ok. It has to be better then most baseball insiders predicted. I still think he is just starting to late to make it much higher. But he's doing ok. Maybe he'll get some sort of Adam Loewen type look at some point.
