I really can't believe the umpiring in this game. If you're going to give someone a bit of a liberal zone, this was the game for it. There were at least 3 balls that could have been called strikes and nobody would have argued.

When Gibby decided to start Papa, you knew he prioritized showing respect to Papa than anything else. It's clear that was his #1 priority. Getting the best record was never a priority despite what he or AA may say. By the simple action of going with Hutch if Papa couldn't go says it all.

 

He probably couldn't envision things going this badly but there's no way that he can convince me that he's trying to win this game based on his decisions...

We lost 4 of the last 5 games of the season, 3 of them without care because they were apparently meaningless.

 

I personally would have preferred winning 4 of the last 5 going riding momentum in to the post season. Oh well, we're new to this.
