Jayzfan79 Verified Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Lol, come on dude. You're gonna take Tanaka/Pineda/Severino/Nova over Keuchel/McHugh/Kazmir/Fiers? I'd take Price / Stroman / Estrada / Dickey

RIPEXPOS Verified Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 I just want to remind everyone of whats happening here. There is actual discussion about Jays playoff match-ups. Amazing.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 When are the games starting tomorrow? 4pm and 7:30 pm eastern time are the scheduled start times
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Why? I think Tanaka and Keuchel are pretty even, Keuchel is having a better season but in terms of true talent they are about on the same level, I might even think Tanaka is slightly better. Pineda is better than McHugh, most people who watch a lot of baseball know this. I am really high on Severino and Kazmir is outperforming his peripherals by quite a bit. Fiers is probably better than Nova, but that's it. For me New York has a better rotation and I don't think it's awfully close. Just my opinion, you can believe otherwise if you like.

Totally disagree with you on Keuchel. Tanaka has not proven himself to be better than him. And Nova is trash. Houston has the better ace and the deeper rotation. Yankees have the better offense IMO, but Keuchel is a lefty and probably makes swiss cheese out of their lineup.

That's fair and I am not a jerk to say your opinion is trash. When I watch both guys it's clear to me Tanaka has higher strikeout potential, Keuchel does well to get grounders which is good too. If both guys are healthy I take Tanaka in a 1 game wild card easily, but we'll see what happens it looks like Kazmir might pitch the wild card game if they make it.
ComeTogether Verified Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 love the tsn title headline: Blue Jays clinch tie for AL East title after Red Sox beat Yanks. Another clinch each day! Two more clinches to go, then playoffs start.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Jays Cubs would be an awesome WS ftfy Jays/Pirates would be an awesome WS.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Were the best team in the AL. I don't care about Tanaka, Keuchel, Richards, Gallardo, Ventura, Cueto or Joba.
nonamejays Verified Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Jays Cubs would be the only matchup where if the Jays lost I wouldn't mind as much. Other than that, the other teams can all go to hell.

Billy Bats Verified Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Jays & Royals is what I'm waiting for. but hey with the way the Royals are pitching and playing they might not make it that far. Volquez vs. Quintana tonight, CWS could easily win again tonight lol
Billy Bats Verified Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Gretzky Snoop Marino. How's that for a trio

Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 My god it would be nice to clinch in the first game so we would not have to play guys like Donaldson and Bau back to back this late in the season. I know we are still chasing the AL crown but guys are tired enough that they don't need to be doing true double headers.
SAAviour Verified Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Line up for game 2 of double header: Pompey cf Carrera rf Hague 1b Tulo ss Thole c Kawasaki 3b Barney 2b Francis LF I'd also like those players to be slightly tipsy.

Lmfao get real. Gibbons would probably put himself in CF before he gives Pompey AB's.
Grant Friesen Verified Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 I'm predicting a huge 7 game lead just in time for bed! Jays gonna clean up on the double header and the bo sox will take down the listless yanks.

Throw Hutch in there somewhere, wasn't he an IFer? As much as I value first overall, I'd love to see the Jays C team drunk out of their minds in game two. It would be the cherry on top of a great season. Still probably beat the O's.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Today is the day we have all been waiting for! I have yet to say anything about AL East Champs, but there is no way we lose both these games and the Yankees win. One of the three will go our way. It has been a f***ing fantastic ride with all of you, and here's to taking the American League too! The memories of Joe Carter when I was two years old are pretty vague, so this has been a long time coming! Rum for everyone and FYSMC Royals! THE DROUGHT IS OVER!
