BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Today is the day we have all been waiting for! I have yet to say anything about AL East Champs, but there is no way we lose both these games and the Yankees win. One of the three will go our way. It has been a f***ing fantastic ride with all of you, and here's to taking the American League too! The memories of Joe Carter when I was two years old are pretty vague, so this has been a long time coming! Rum for everyone and FYSMC Royals! THE DROUGHT IS OVER! Really glad the younger guys on this Board are finally going to feel what its like to win a Flag. I cant imagine what it must be like to be a Jays fan without the memories of 85-93 glory yrs to keep the candle lit. Love to see all these new(er) fans! Thanks for sticking with them.

Yeah it is hard to imagine being a Jays fan and not remembering those incredible years, the Carter HR still gives me goosebumps.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 why a 4:00 start? Should be 3:00 so there is enough time to start game 2 at 7:00
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Tomorrow's game has been moved to 12:05 from 7:05 due to a huge rainstorm expected to hit Baltimore, partially from Hurricane Joaquin. Don't be surprised if the O's/Yankees series is moved to a neutral site.
Followthelight Verified Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 The weather has been crap the last few weeks, WTF baseball gods.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2015 Author Posted September 30, 2015 Maybe they'll play in Toronto while the Jays are in Tampa. Ha! No thanks, I don't want either of those teaming play "home" in the RC. That's just wrong. Go play in Milwaukee.

Not happening. Brewers are at home for a series vs. the Cubs. It may have to be in Toronto.. here are other available sites that might be usable in the Central and East: Miami Cincinnati Chicago(NL) Detroit St. Louis Kansas City Toronto Houston Likely the series gets moved to Chicago, Miami or Toronto if the rain is a serious issue in Baltimore. Only way the series is played in Milwaukee is if the Brewers allow it (unlikely).
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 One positive about last night's game being rained out is that the Jays can celebrate on the field after they win today. There would have been a good chance the Yanks game finished after the Jays game yesterday and the player's would have waited to celebrate in the clubhouse. I've never witnessed the Jays clinching the ALE title before, can't wait

I think it was Grisholm who tweeted that Gibby already stated that if they clinch today they regulars are getting the day off tomorrow.
