blurnandez Verified Member Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Anyone willing to trade a 100 level Game 2 ticket for a Game 1 ticket? Section 114, Row 37. I'd be willing to trade for a lesser-value Game 1 one.

2lowitzki Verified Member Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 For those of you who are still looking for a ticket on Stubhub, I recommend you guys to buy it today or tomorrow morning. Tomorrow at 10am the ticket for ALCS goes on sale, and many people who got nothing may look for cheaper ticket for ALCS, even for ALDS. So after tomorrow at lunch, I doubt most of the cheaper tickets on Stubhub would be gone. Fortunately, I just got pair of ticket for $95 US on Stubhub
204Jays Verified Member Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Any tickets available for GAME 2? PM me if you do. Will by flying in from Winnipeg. Stubhub has them for 95USD per ticket, hoping to avoid fees
500LevelSTH Verified Member Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 (edited) Prices are only going to drop, massive manipulation of the secondary market pricing in effect. MLB and Stubhub are partners, so they keep pricing artificially high with suggested selling prices. The availability of ALCS tickets may actually cause ALDS prices to drop. Side note, tickets half the price in Arlington, playoffs not really a big deal with football season underway Edited October 6, 2015 by 500LevelSTH

The sellers will be the ones that may lose out if potential ALDS buyers are able to get face value ALCS for about an hour in the morning. According to stubhub the current ALDS tickets available are... Gm 1 - 3383 remaining Gm 2 - 5586 remaining Gm 5 - 6746 remaining Those numbers and basic economics suggest that prices will continue to fall whilst the supply is plentiful.

I plan on checking Thursday morning for game 1 tickets. If I can get some at or under face + ~50%, then I might go!

What basic economics are you talking about? The fact that 7% of all tickets for game 1 are currently still available for sale 48 hours before the game? It's not like there's 20,000 tickets on there. I sold my Games 1 and 2 tickets last week but I'm holding onto Game 5. If it goes to game 5 it will most likely be prime time and prices will shoot up again.

He has no idea how many people are looking to buy right now, which you need to perform the "basic economics". But based on the trend, one might expect them to go down. Or they might have bottomed out. Hard to say. I sold my Games 1 and 2 tickets last week but I'm holding onto Game 5. If it goes to game 5 it will most likely be prime time and prices will shoot up again. This seems wise.
Yorkshire Blue Jay Verified Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 On the event page of the phone app currently... gm 1 - 4626 left gm 2 - 6281 left gm 3 - 6578 left I would have thought that buyers will only benefit given that there are currently still thousands of tickets available for Gms 1, 2 and 5 of the ALDS. Using the numbers supplied today so far we have ... Gm 1 - 1243 less today - almost 3x that amount left to sell in about 45 hrs before the first pitch and the prices have continued to fall. Gm 2 - 695 less today - over 8x that amount left to sell with less than 66 hrs before the first pitch of Gm2 Gm 5 - 168 more today supply increasing quicker than demand for the game if needed. This would suggest that there is a demand for Gm 1 tickets which will keep the price relatively steady but for Gm 2 in particular with the lunchtime start there could be serious falls in the prices before the demand starts to pick up. The best value for secondary market buyers should be in Gm 2 - If I was looking to buy this is the game I would look to wait out the nervous sellers. I also believe Gm 5 should increase in price if this game is needed as this game will be the decider.
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Decided to check Facebook as the stub hub prices kept dropping. I got 11 people to message me that were interested, so I sold them to one guy for 550 for the pair. Pretty pumped to get 275/seat after I thought I had missed the sellers window
2lowitzki Verified Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 It looks like Stubhub price is no longer dropping. Yesterday, I could see the price for 500 level seat dropped from 150 to 100 in a day for GAME 2.. (US DOLLAR) I checked every day and the lowest is still at 100s right now.. I was able to grab a 2 tickets for $95 US dollar each, and I think I'm lucky. My seat is at section 515 and row 9.. Which is considered not bad.. And I think all the cheap tickets for ALDS maybe gone by tomorrow afternoon. I'm predicting that people who failed to get ALCS ticket tomorrow may pay attention to stubhub and grab tickets for ALDS.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 There are 3000 tickets left, aren't there? doubt the prices fall. No one is buying at the current price. Might be a "who blinks first" kinda thing but especially with the Astros winning I don't think many people are buying.

I think you can get a good deal for game 2 if you are looking to go to 1 of the games. I'd wait until tomorrow night at least.

Yorkshire Blue Jay Verified Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 It seems that for Friday many 500 level tickets are at low $100's - get in the building price, any under $100 seem to be getting snapped up quickly - I think the market will quiet down tomorrow for the release of the final face value ALCS allocation. At least it's more interesting to watch how the secondary playoff ticket market develops in October than wondering about next season for a change.
