You know what would really be funny? If his first start is against the Orioles and they immediately lay down a ton of bunts on him...

on second thought, that's not funny.

It's kind of funny but it'd be more funny if Stroman then threw inside and Showalter had a bird.

Yeah, if they did that, he should bean Machado right in the ribs.

Can't wait to have our best pinch runner back.

I can guarantee he wont be pinch running

They just said on sportsnet that AA said they are going to stretch out stroman to start. I hope it's not true, he needs time....I thought Bp option was far fetched but starting this year? Cray cray

Is that the lovechild of Marcus Stroman and Matt Smoral?

Lol not sure why auto correct changed it to that. ....is that even a word?

Apparently it is a word lol

Stromal cells are connective tissue cells of any organ, for example in the uterine mucosa (endometrium), prostate, bone marrow, and the ovary. They are cells that support the function of the parenchymal cells of that organ.

Also said if he has enough time to get stretched out. They're not going to accelerate it...but if he can get into some minor league games and get to the point where he can throw 65-75 pitches they might have him start and try to get 5 innings out of him.

I think that's a mistake, they should be taking a cautious approach to his recovery not rushing him back for Sept. Starts

They won't rush...but they won't baby. If he's ready...I have no problem with it.

He's already way ahead of his time line and I really hope this doesn't affect his health going forward.

The timeframe was just an estimate. He's healing faster than was expected. If everything is good there's no reason to hold him back just because there was some arbitrary 6 month number put on it in the spring.

Let's be excited that he's ahead of schedule and itching to get back with his brothers.

I hope you're right

I highly doubt Ricky has ever done a two a day in his entire life... Let alone for six months to get himself into such great shape.

Romeo worked out constantly. Maybe too much.

I adore Stroman obviously and hopefully the rotation keeps pitching even close to the way it has. This will allow Stro to ease in, even if he's on a pitch limit, with a rested 8 man bullpen to back him up. Lately, our bullpen has only been needed for 2ip per start and if they stay even close to that, Stretching Stro out up here shouldn't hurt us in the least. By the time playoff time rolls around, he should be ready to go full out
