Gonna give Gibbons props the past two games for using Osuna in non-save situations. Those were key outs he got in big situations.

Also think his lineups have been better lately. The decision to platoon Goins and Barney was also a good one although it should have been done much sooner.

I still hated his managing tonight. Left Sanchez in to face Odor and Mazara for 4th time through the order and luckily they both had hart hits at fielders. I know the bullpen hasn't been great but he's still leaving SP in way too long. I think part of the reason the relievers have given up so many inherited runners is because Gibby rides the starter into the 7th and takes them out after they give up a baserunner instead of letting the reliever start the inning fresh.

Yeah this was bad, they hit Sanchez hard to but he got lucky.

Oh for sure, he hasn't been good just wanted to point out a couple of good things he did that we wouldn't normally expect him to do.

Well it was Sanchez or Girodo, and Sanchez looked good for the 2nd half of the game.

Girado vs 2 consecutive LHB or Sanchez who struggles with LHH the 4th time through the order after just walking the number 9 hitter. Thats a no brainer...

Mini rant (not related to tonight's game but just something that crossed my mind): I really wish managers and Gibby specifically would pay more attention to times through the order instead of the 100 pitch count. I'm not saying pitch counts don't matter but 100 is a completely arbitrary threshold. Much less arbitrary is how many times the batter has seen the pitcher. There's a much more quantifiable drop-off for each time through the order than pre and post 100 pitches. Edited by KingKat

That's a rant? lol

The flip side of this coin is you don't want to go to the bullpen unless you have too. A rested bullpen is always a good thing.

But isn't those numbers really between the 1st-3rd time through the order. I would think if a pitcher is facing a batter for a 4th time, it's because the pitcher is dominating or its like the 4th inning and he has given up 10 runs.

Just single handedly cost us another game unless we walkoff somehow. Refuses to put in a lefty vs 2 lefties and instead uses Storen. Might as well just give the ball to Osuna in the 8th every game. Maybe Gibby will make it up by putting in the mop up man in the 9th...you know cause he likes losing...lol.

I also think being stubborn with batting Tulo in the middle order is an issue. Bat him ninth after Goins to send a message

no one should ever bat after goins in the order, unless you're a pitcher

Gibbons is terrible, when will this clown be gone?

As soon as:

a) A temporary replacement either from or formerly from the Indians organization is available and at least semi-viable

B) Terry Francona leaves the Indians at the end of the season

Burning Osuna for 1 out in the 9th...sigh

Now he's unavailable if we need him today.

there was literally nobody left.....

This one's on management for bringing Tepera up in the first place.

He has done nothing to warrant a roster spot. I'd rather have Roberto Hernandez.

Lol this game was not Gibbons' fault

Agreed. Was watching the game on MLB at bat and this game was lost for three reasons:

a) Leaving RISP yet again (1 for 9). We had chances and we blew them.

B) Ryan f***ing Tepera. f*** is he s***.

c) Costly errors in the field (#pray4tulo)
