I wouldn't have him on this team period. I'd have Andy Burns up here platooning with Goins.

Good call, dump the guy with the15 game hit streak and 1.000 OPS

I'd go Sandy Alomar. Also if he starts CC in lf instead of Carrera tonight, it should be an instant firing.

CC only has a single and a double in two at bats. Any decent manager would have found a way to put in a player who would have had two homeruns. Fire this clown!!!!

CC also got lucky nothing was hit at him. We will see some ugly plays tomorrow.

Sanchez has like a 65% GB rate, or something ridiculous like that, so having Colabello out there tonight was likely safe. It's when the other pitchers start that it will be a problem.

I can't believe this team gave up 2 runs today. Never going to win as long as this Gibbons clown is around.

I hope when Saunders gets healthy we can still keep Collabello's bat in the lineup. Maybe the odd LF start and platoon at 1b with Smoak. This guy has been mashing and has been outstanding with RISP.

if you believe CC won't turn into Franciso II, you move EE for an SP, and get Dickey or Estrada to the BP

I have no issue sending Sanchez out for the 9th tonight, he was only at 90 pitches and he was cruising the whole game. Would have preferred to save Osuna's arm for tomorrow I agree, but I can see why Gibby used him.

yes, sending him out for the 9th was correct, but the long ball to the track in CF and Rasmus just missing a tater were warning signs from the inning before. after the home run, sanchez should have been pulled. leaving him in was dumb

You just don't get it do you.

A manager should be looking out for what's best for the team. If that means disregarding personal achievements, so be it.

Sanchez is a rookie that's rarely gone 100 + pitches. By the eighth inning his velocity had already started to dip and when that happens he starts to flatten out and becomes very hittable. So he goes out in the ninth, gets hit around forcing Gibbons to use Osuna when he could have used a mop up guy if he had chose not to send Sanchez out for the ninth. On top of that he could very well have compromised Sanchez' next start as well. Last time he threw over 100 pitches the following game his velocity was down and he got shelled.

Apparently trying to get Sanchez a complete game shutout is more important than burning your best reliever and possibly compromising Sanchez' next start.

Not only that but it's a very long season, especially for someone that has never sniffed 200 IP before. The more you can save these guy's now the more they'll have in the tank later.

I know you're to f***ing stupid to comprehend it.

No i'm not reaching. Wanna know how I can tell? The dipshits are starting to quote grammatical errors.

I'd bet Sanchez doesn't fair well in his next start and i'd put the fault directly on Gibbons.

What is there to debunk in your posts? It's all hand-wavy revisionist ********. And your grammatical error came in response you you calling me "f***ing stupid" after I found your written diarrhea amusing.

Your post is really bad. I want Sanchez pitching tired. It's not something he has experience with at all. At least as a pro. Part of learning to pitch is knowing how to adjust as you begin to fatigue deep into games or innings.

I honestly don't know if Gibby should be fired or not.

But who would be the obvious replacement choices?

Cito Gaston.

DH is open today due to Edwin being hurt. There are finally three real outfielders on the 25-man roster.

So what does Gibbons do?

Colabello in LF and Navarro at DH.

Navarro hitting ahead of Martin.

Keep this thread alive!

Where else is Navarro supposed to play when he does?

The Jays are 7-2 when Navarro starts this season, and were 64-57 in games he started last season. Makes sense to start him at DH and Colabello in LF, rather than the more practical (but less likely to result in a win) lineup of Carrera in left and CC at DH. Clutch hitting and wins far outweigh defense.

Very elaborate troll, or...?

Gibbons is wearing a jacket over his uniform AGAIN. Is the clown ashamed of being a part of the team he "manages?" Way to show team unity, f***ing wanker. Fire this moron!
